Mullen would be fired within 4 years imo. Dude has the charisma of a cardboard box.

Mullen is a good guy.

Many believe he is handicapped by MSU's rep and budget but look at Freeze---heck he is at Ole Miss and doing great.

I really don't think Mullen should be the guy. He would probably be a middle of the road coach just as he is at MSU.

None of these schools are particularly poor anymore with the ESPN deal.

He might could do better at UGA but I am not sure.

yeah trust me, freeze has all the budget there he needs.

freeze would do worse at UGA than he's done at ole miss.

I can't help but believe that Freeze's success at OM is largely dependent on a degree of moral ambiguity that operates within the machine there.

What does OM have to lose by playing shady? They have really never been relevant, and until very recently, their mascot was a fricking slave driver. I don't think morals exist there.

you're exactly right. I've heard it straight from people I know that have worked for our team..they straight up pay people and DGAS about it either. You can claim "sour grapes" all you want, but in Freeze's second year (coming off a 7-6 season mind you, 3-5 in the SEC), they got:

#1 overall player (GA)
#1 OT (FL)
#1 WR (IL)
#2 S (MS)

I'm sorry, but a former girls bball coach coming off a barely .500 season isn't getting the #1 receiver from frickin Chicago to come to oxford MS straight up. Ditto for tunsil who was committed to us damn near a year before they offered his mom and gf incentives too.

I'm not too worried abotu it since he's not that good of a coach and won't win anything significant, but anyone who thinks we're playing by teh same set of rules is delusional.

I agree with everything you said about Richt. I disagree with everything you said about Mullen.

Outside of QB development, there's really nothing that intrigues me about Mullen. Yes, MSU has been better, but part of that is the new attraction of playing in the SEC which is way more common in recruits now. I think MSU is going to blow next year, and I don't like the idea of taking a coach who is trying to flee a program, because that means he didn't set it up well.

Well the photo Treadwell posted after visiting was pretty hilarious.

Just Nkemdiche going wouldn't be suspicious because his brother's there, and even though players don't always go where a sibling is it can definitely be a factor.

Tunsil on the other-hand was just ridiculous. I heard from some pretty solid sources about his process and there was definitely some $ involved. Not saying I blame him for taking it, but Ole Miss definitely crossed a boundary or two in his recruitment.

If he wasn't guaranteed to be a huge recruiting liability with his past, I could actually 100% get behind him as OC

That furthers the thought that no coach will win a title here until the administration changes their approach.
