Pruitt is out from everything I am reading. Like, no chance he comes back. He was pulled off the road from recruiting and our commits are saying he hasn't contacted any of them.

In regards

Tom Herman agrees to new contract and Dan Mullen is 4-29 versus ranked opponents. UGA job looking like Kirby's Dream Land.
to Dan Mullen

word on 247 is that Smart has already reached out to a couple recruits and told them he will be at Georgia. The same sources say Pruitt is staying.

Add it to the list of potential outcomes, I guess.

I don't get why they are pushing Pruitt out the door. I would much rather have him than WM.

Pretty sure Bama would have a lawsuit if that were the case.

Yeah it seems unlikely that he would be able to do that without repercussions. But if there is a kernel of truth in that rumor, it isn't horrible.

ETA: Rusty doesn't think Pruitt will stay.

Out of all the rumors, it looks like Smart is the only constant. So from where I'm sitting, it just appears to be the DC that is up in the air.

so in the last 24 hours, we've gotten:

-It's gonna be herman
-It's gonna be kirby, but only if JP stays
-Gonna be kirby but JP is 100% gone, enter muschamp
-mcgarity doesn't like muschamp or pruitt. wants mullen
-kirby is in the bag, and pruitt is now staying again

I would just hate to see the Pruitt big swinging dick gif on another board. Which D would you rather have, our or Auburns?

I am just a messenger haha. But at this juncture, all signs point to a Smart/Pruitt or Smart/Muschamp pairing.

No one knows what is going on with Morehead/McGarity/boosters regarding keeping Pruitt, and anyone who claims to have insight there is a liar, as far as I'm concerned.

Well personally I'd rather have, being at least KINDA realistic:

smart
pruitt
rocker
mcclendon
brown
any of the other D guys (ekeler, sherrer, etc) that want to stay
cochran

Who knows how realistic that is though. I love pruitt to death and want to keep him. A D with smart and pruitt would be disgusting, and I'm sure a young hungry guy like smart can find a competent OC.

It's all up to mcgarity, which is terrifying.

eehhhhhhh

there are probably better OC options out there. He's good enough, but I'd be worried abotu him leaving every offseason, plus don't him and pruitt not get along? I'm not sure the athens bars could handle smart pruitt and kiffin hanging out together.

I have definitely come around to the time to move on from Richt camp this year, but it was bittersweet watching the press conference today. He was hired my sophomore year and is all I've known. A true class act and worthy of being the face of UGA for the past 15 years. The more I think about the current situation I'm not so much upset that Richt was removed, but I have no faith in Mcgarity to not bungle this. The only win situation for us is Kirby and keeping Pruitt. Forget Cochran, forget Muschamp, forget about an OC for a while. Kirby/Pruitt - that's it. If Morehead or the boosters need to boot McGarity to make that happen then let's fricking get it done before it's too late. I know a guy who loves UGA more than anyone who would probably make a good AD....

Basically, he wasn't a yes man and had no issues voicing his opinions and Greg Mcgarity and his big arse ears didn't like that.

One of the only ones on the staff that actually has a pair.
