I don't think Georgia will be as good as people think. I don't know how you can win with a freshman QB and a first year head coach. But, in a weak division, they may capture lightning in a bottle. Kirby Smart is a very good coach, but he needs to mature. He loses his cool when things don't go his way.

Offensively, the Chaney/Pittman combination, that's a headache. They're good football coaches.

Other Nuggets from this year's Lindy's Preview:
-each issue has gotten thinner ever since the play-off
-9% of the population makes up 50% of the awkward Golden Flake ads.
-UGA picked ranked 18th
-7th in recruiting
-Eason 3rd best freshman
-93,000 at spring game
-93,000 at spring game
-93,000 at springa dhlageme
-Key Number 9: Teh number of double digit wins richt blah blah

I doubt that head coaches do the "Opposing Coaches View" part, but i am positive either an arkansas or a tennessee coach did ours.

I think you're somehow confusing our head coach with Muschamp.

That's not my opinion. It's an "opposing coaches view" from the new LIndy's preview. Sorry, should have qualified it.

My hunch is it's a Beielema or one of his.

It's threads like this one that taught me to read Jefferson's posts as if Dale Gribble was writing them - safely ensconced in the confines of his basement, cigarette and hot cup of Mountain Dew simultaneously steaming before him as he types.

Carry on, Mr. Shackleford. Shuh-SHAH!

My expectations have remained tempered. If we get 8 wins with a new HC and a Freshman QB, I feel like the first season transition went reasonably well. Part of my perspective is that I don't think Richt & Co. left the cupboard very well stocked. Typically we have not been strong enough in the trenches and I don't see that changing going into the upcoming season. I just hope Eason doesn't get pummeled/injured in his first season. Hopefully we can establish a consistent running game but I'm not expecting that either even if Chubb returns at full strength which is doubtful.

First post should inform the reader that these are what Lindy's thinks of UGA.

The part about Kirby being immature and losing his cool when things don't go his way is interesting though. Immature I can understand, but what examples do we ever have of him losing his cool when things don't go his way?

It's a really bizarre statement for an opposing coach to make.

Agree. I hate Richts lack of facial expressions so much that I hope Kirby loses his cool under pressure and during times of adversity. Just kidding. That's stupid.
