Now Pruitt will probably get drunk and drive over to Saban's house and cuss till one of the other staff members threatens to whip his arse again.

Did we ever find out who threatened him? BMac would be my guess.

Is it confirmed that this actually happened last year?
If so, how the frick did he even finish the rest of the season?

I believe so. That's why there was no way Kirby was going to keep Pruitt. He was toxic. Tracy Rocker basically accused him of trying creating a mutiny. I was always fond of Richt the man, but this is another example of him being too soft. He should have jerked a not in Pruitt's arse and put him in his place. Can you imagine if he tried that with Smart? Smart may not end up being a great coach, although I think he will, but he's tough as nails.

Clemson scored more points on Kirby fwiw

I wanted to pull for Bama but I got to thinking how big a smudge prick Pruitt is and the want just went away. I think Pruitt's fire and desire to win opened some eyes around UGA though.

It's worth precisely nothing. Doesn't matter if Clemson scored the second most points ever scored or to be scored in football last year - Bama still scored more.

Kirby knows what to call on the goal line when the games on the line.... we know that first hand.

Yea,cause our red zone defense was soooo outstanding this year.
Stopped GT cold with the game on line

I meant vs us in 2012. Having Bama talent obviously was important too.

So the defensive coordinator isn't responsible for stopping the other team's offense, they're responsible for their team scoring a lot.
What the blue hell is that argument?

Thomas Brown was the rumor, and that would have been ugly.

kirby's playcall on that play had exactly nothing to do with the play ending up like it did.

Well Mitchell was covered and there was a D lineman in Murrays face.
Neither was the case last night.

We were inside the 10, every WR is going to be covered. We were going for a fade route, and as we all know murray to mitchell on the back shoulder pass was lethal.

So you think kirby called the "have the defensive lineman pressure the QB" play? It's not like he was even being thrown to the ground, the DL simply put his hand up to deflect the ball.
That play transpired because one of bama's numerous all-world DLineman made an all american play against our OL. Had absolutely nothing to do with what play was called.

My God, can y'all stop grasping at straws. Last night's game means ZERO for Georgia football.
I don't give a damn about Alabama. I don't give a damn what Kirby did or didn't do at Alabama. I give a damn about what he's doing as the head coach at Georgia.
Last night's game was meaningless for us. Maybe we should be more concerned with getting in the playoffs ourselves so we don't have use the seven degrees of separation to figure out why an unrelated game means we did or didn't do the right thing.

That's good coaching.
Kirby = win. Pruitt = fail.
