Lets put recruiting aside for a second, I loved his story coming out of high school, kind of Brian herrian-ish before Brian herrian. Had to fight like hell to make the grades, hate that it didn't work out for him. He wanted nothing more than to be a dawg, and I wish it had ended differently. Cheers to this kid, I hope things work out for him

Yes. I love that a kid who really wanted to be a Dawg and apparently is a good guy by all indications had to leave the team because of unfortunate circumstances.
You can be glad we have a new recruiting slot without dick-slapping the kid on his way out the door.

Damn man....I was really pulling for Choates. He was a fringe guy who had an opportunity to contribute to the team and graduate with a quality degree. I really wish he coulda got his academics in order, this sucks. He seemed like a really nice kid.

I hate to see anyone leave, even if it is a gain for the team. We are still talking about people here who (mostly) love the school and the team.
