What's up with report he's taken a "leave of absence"? Anybody know?

Leave of Absence typically indicates that he's not in trouble and intends to return. Could be family related; he is from Indiana and may have needed to return home for some reason. Best to respect his privac and hope he returns soon.

This is just speculation, but...

He might be frustrated that he's not taking 1st team reps. Natrez Patrick seems to have taken his job since Smart's arrival, and I know that dude is a competitor.

Hopefully it's nothing serious.

Hardest hitter on the team. Hopefully Durden is right here.

He's posted a couple of tweets that would lead one to believe that he is looking to transfer.

Hope I'm wrong. Love Kimbrough. Our ILB group needs him for that quality run stopping depth

Per Dasher, a couple of "close sources" are saying he's looking to transfer.

Dude is already a senior and it's not like Reggie Carter hadn't been injury prone.

Well Roquan Smith does look pretty sexy alongside Patrick.

Seems like an immature reaction to not getting the starting spot. But, hey, leave and be happy if that's what you feel like you need to do.

Immature and kind of a dumb ego move. When you're at a major program, you can't expect anything to be handed to you. Dude probably lost his starting job to more talented players. But he was still going to get a lot of playing time.

What's he think is going too happen as a senior transferring? Sit out a year and then play at a lesser school in the hope of starting and getting more NFL exposure? Transfer to Division II? Kind of lame.

But it is what it is. Patrick and Roquon are better. Carter is back. Taylor is up and coming. And then there's Laguins.

His talent can be easily replaced, but we need a new enforcer on the defense. Kimbrough is one of the few people who hit Derrick Henry last year and sent him flying backwards (not that it ended up meaning much that day). He absolutely crushed the kid from Missouri on a kickoff return.

I love when a defense has a tone setting hitter like that. All of UGA's best defenses recently have had one or two of those guys, whether it was Thomas Davis (IMO, the ultimate intimidater for UGA), Greg Blue, Reshad Jones, or Ogletree.

Attitude. He might want to reconsider and I think he will.

Smart said they would move some guys down and see how they react. Guess we know how Kimbrough reacted.

I hate to see him go but if he's leaving because he was running with the 2's, that's a shame he quit and ran. What happened to bowing your back and fighting for your spot back? Maybe he won't look back and have regrets about this down the road.

Sucks. I like Kimbrough and he's been the biggest hitter of our LB corps the last two years.

Should have stayed and competed. We could have used him and he would have gotten a lot of playing time.

Oh well - in with the new.

This is likely a factor. I posted a CKS quote about this earlier in another thread.
