We would end up in a world of hurt if that's truly the case.

No way unless Shotty's plan is to abandon the run & let Ramsey/Park/Bauta throw it all over the park... No frickin' way...

Wanna know a really fast way to end up in Martinez-world with the UGA fanbase? It'd be by doing that

Though in fairness that estimate could've been when people thought Golson may be here next year.

He kind of echoed what some here have said: Now that Richt has a good DC and if the offense continues to perform as expected, it's time for Richt to turn the corner on the national stage. And with the additional resources provided by the AD, there's really no excuse for not taking it to the next level over the next 5 years.

I hope we go run first this season too, but if we end up with 22 turnovers during a 12 game schedule that won't be the end of the world. Less than 2 a game will be manageable with the D I think we'll have. Now if it gets to that 25 number or higher, yea that's probably the tipping point.

I think most Dawgs feel this way, most of us like/love CMR & how he represents the team & University but it's time to shite or get offa the pot....

No more excuses... just do it or go to Costa Rica...

but factor in the games you have no turnovers, Georgia Southern and company, and you have those games where you're tossing like 3-4 turnovers to bring that number of 22 to fruition....No bueno

My assumption is based on the fact that if we are giving up over 20 turnovers, it'll primarily be in the passing game rather than Chubb, Michel, etc. fumbling which means we are going away from our strength more and paying for it.

Plus, imagine if Mason had thrown 10 more picks last year than he did (he only threw 4) to put us at 23 turnovers total, I think our record would've ended up much differently.

And I'm not really counting Southern and ULM much and you know there will be other games without turnovers, so we'd end up with those turnovers concentrated against teams like USCe, UF, Bama, Tenn, Auburn, etc. and we know how that would end up then.

Yea, good points there. My only rebuttal would be that Ramsey has a stronger arm so more picks would be correlated with a better deep passing threat also (some assumptions on my part there, but I think it's plausible).

Either way, make no mistake that I don't want picks this year. I'd gladly take another year with HM like stats from QB.

I hope we don't turn it over more than 7-9 times in the running game & ST's... 15 int's is unacceptable in this offense...

I've enjoyed Georgia football tremendously during the Mark Richt era and I'd hate to trade coaches.

The bad Richt - Four times I've wanted to tear my hair out over Richt calls that seemed downright idiotic.

In 2001 against Auburn we had no timeouts with 16 seconds left and a first down on Auburn's three yard line. Richt decided to run rather than attempt a series of pass plays. Auburn stopped the run and the clock ran out. In over 50 years of following both college and pro ball I've never seen a dumber call.

In the 2010 Liberty Bowl against Central Florida our offense was gashing the defense on every play in the first drive but we arrived at fourth and goal at the one. Richt elected to kick a field goal and the team was so demoralized that they lost with the worst performance ever.

In the 2012 SECCG failure to spike resulted in total confusion that likely cost Georgia a chance at the NCG.

The 2014 pooch kick against Georgia Tech was a disaster.

On balance, I love Mark Richt and wouldn't trade him for any other college coach. The man is a winner with a flaw but I believe multiple championships are on the horizon.

Fans of great pro style QB play have to be thrilled at the prospect of watching talents like Jacob Eason and, potentially, Bailey Hockman play for the dogs. Mark Richt is the coach that those extremely talented QBs want to learn from.

Go Dawgs.

Can't argue with any of them... '12 was apparently a "gut" call on the fly that in retrospect shoulda played out different. The rest were WTF's?...

I know it's been hashed out on here a lot, but I can't fault the coaches for that one. Sometimes someone just makes a great play and CJ Mosley did. I actually liked the call to keep going and not let Bama sub, the pass was open too. Those other calls you mentioned are head scratchers though.

I used to bash Richt a lot more but the last few years he has been showing a willingness to change and adapt and I respect that, people aren't always willing to admit that there are faults with their way of doing things. We will see what that yields but so far things seem promising.

I don't think that decision lost the game for us. We didn't want to be there from the start.

The only change I want in our offense next yr is 3-5 more deep passes a game. Everything else was fine. Run the ball until the prove they can stop it. When they creep up go up top.

I would also like to see Marshall in the slot this year. I think that matches his skill set perfectly.

Well, they sure as hell wanted to be there on that first drive. The oline was blowing CFU backwards and we were gashing them every play. The field goal call was like flipping the off switch.

We'll just have to agree to disagree.
