Didn't put up fancy stats. But there aren't many true freshman QBs that can go on the road to South Bend and win. His only interception was on Chaneys dumb play calling at the end of the half. He looked calm and poised almost all game. Only thing that can hd him back is Chaney

Other than the Cam Newton pussy fumble he played fine. Winning feels good.

That kid had the poise of David Greene and read the field like Aaron Murray. He's going to special in time.

He didn't lose the game for us. He did enough to keep us in it and let the defense be heroes.

I'll say it again: As long as we have Chaney we don't win the games that matter.

That fat frick almost lost this one but our d pulled it out. Good day to be a dawg.

Agreed. Freshman mistake trying to pick the ball up instead of falling on it after the bad exchange... Easily forgivable. The pick was on Chaney's ridiculously awful RRP approach to be "conservative". Tried to force a few throws, but definitely did a lot more good than bad for the team and didn't make the "game changing" mistake that he needed to avoid. Probably the ideal scenario... do just enough to win without starting the freshman heisman campaign... hopefully avoids scaring off Fields for this year's recruiting class as well.

He's got to clean up the mistakes. That INT was the dumbest throw I've ever seen by a UGA quarterback.

I still think he'll be great in time, but he didn't play very well tonight IMO.

His inexperience is also like the 4th or 5th biggest issue this offense has.

I'd love to see us actually let him keep the ball once or twice early on those zone read plays. Even if we don't get more than 2 yards, it would at least force the defense to stay honest. As is, it feels identical to what I saw in the UT/GT game week 1... zone read where everyone just follows the RB. Maybe a little too risky with no one that we trust behind him, but just feels like more Chaney weighing this offense down (pun intended).

Either a) you didn't watch Brice Ramsey last week or b) you don't consider him a quarterback.

It was a bad throw, but it was mostly caused by Chaney's approach to that series. I'll give him a slight pass on it for now. Will see what I think on full replay this week.

That's a huge win. We now know we don't have to alter our play calling to account for a freshman QB and we know we can win despite a sub par performance by our freshman QB.

That is literally a win/win.

ETA: That's not a dig at Fromm at all.

Are you new to UGA football? Did you see Ramsey's two picks last week? Asking for a friend.

Chaney put him in a bad spot. We had good field position and enough time to go down and kick a field goal or get a TD. And chaney runs the ball twice and wastes a shite ton of time. Dumbest 2 minute offense I have ever seen and that alone should have cost Chaney his job

Fromm came out slinging the ball and hitting his receivers. He missed a few tonight but had a few more that were on the money and his receivers let him down. Fromm looked great given the context he found himself in. If we can get a better OC, Fromm can lead us to the frommised land. He might do it anyway in spite of Chaney the Hut.

Note: The same was said frequently last year...about Eason.

Eason will be back...possibly by UT, definitely by UF. Seems like a win-win, though. Fromm will have gotten great experience. If they put Eason back in, they can keep a pretty short leash on him. We'll have a true QB battle...

Let's not forget he put a certain TD in Mecoles hands too that was dropped. Plus another that bounced off of Wims chest.

All in all he did a great job.
