Park went 15-of-19 for 165 yards and three touchdowns. He hit Dondre Daley for a 23-yard score right before halftime, then found both Jones and Trever Ryen for touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Park was the Cyclones’ second leading rusher, too, coming in behind running back Mike Warren with 35 yards on the ground. His yards came in one play, when Park broke out into the open and darted out of bounds 35 yards later. “I ain’t been in the open field like that since high school, dude,” Park said. “All I was thinking was, ‘Don’t fumble the ball.’”

Threads like this don't make you look obsessed with UGA. At all.

I haven't thought about Jacob park for a single second since he transferred (until now, I guess) and tech fans are following his performance game by game

He's a Georgia tech fan. It's part of the job description.

Park also struggled against Texas who has one of the worst pass defenses in the nation.

I really wish he would of stuck around, because he would of gotten a chance at some point. He seemed like the gamer type of player and not the practice warrior.

Really? You think he would have been given a shot over Eason? I mean Park just left. He couldn't beat out Faton Bauta or Brice Ramsey.

He has barely played at Iowa State. He has gotten some snaps, but not a whole lot.

I was really trying to illustrate that while he played well in one game, he has also looked poor in others.

Definitely not a big enough sample size to determine anything.

My comment wasn't to correct you....it was more to agree with you.

I never said he would start over Eason. I meant that year when Faton started at UF, if he would of been around that season, he could of gotten a chance to play and prove himself. I don't blame him for transferring when the coaches have B Ramsey and F Bauta ahead of you. Not saying Park would be any good, but those 2 are garbage.

He had shown himself to be the opposite. Before each the SC state championship (played in Williams-Brice), the Shrine Bowl, and the AA game, 247 sports had analysts at his practices and they all raved about him in practice talking about his arm strength and accuracy. In each of those games, which took place on big stages, he totally tanked. His team was destroyed in the championship game and he threw a lot of picks, and he had the worst performances of all the QBs in the shrine bowl (3 of 11, 68 yards, sacked 3 times, 1 fumble) and the AA game (1 for 8, 6 yards, 1 INT). I think Park had/has the tools to be a great college QB but the kid lacked the mental toughness to be a Div-1 football player. It's like he just psychs himself out and can't handle it when the pressure is on.

My bad. For some reason I was thinking Park was here last season, but he transferred before the season. that's why I couldn't understand your reasoning.

Sorry. I had the timeline of his leaving all wrong.

Yeah I'm not saying he would of been a stud but I'm sure he would of gotten a shot.

That is why I said he seemed more like a gamer than a practice warrior. He never seemed like the type who had dedication like an A Murray so that was why I was saying he probably do better in a game than in practice.

You can never be sure until a kid gets on the field in a game situation. I've seen so-so high school players absolutely flourish in the college game, and studs in high school wilt in college. There are so many variables that go into football.
