It's Jacob Eason or it's ridiculous

The argument against Eason taking over is that he is a true freshman who is bound to make mistakes. The actual fact is that no matter who is chosen, the QB is going to make mistakes. Lambert and Ramsey are both prone to err based on past history. Eason has the talent to overcome mistakes and he is the future of the program. The future can't get here soon enough for most Dawg fans.

Im all for Eason starting, heck i hope it happens but then you got the argument that even though Lambert is as awful as he is he only threw two ints, should have been more theres the other argument.

If chubb and sony were both healthy for UNC I'd say it's a no brainer to start eason.

However, as things are now, I can at least SEE the rationale for lambert. No he's not going to scare anyone and is very limited but at the very least you can count on him as a senior to have command of the huddle, no what to look for from the defense, and most likely limit mistakes.

Rediculous if the coaches determine that a QB is better fit to play then Eason? You haven't watched all the practices they have and will. You haven't seen them in a huddle with the other players. You haven't seen them without Chubb and Sony. You haven't seen their audibles with a full rush defense making changes as the ball is being snapped.

What's rediculous is that you made that statement.

Now, I would love to see Eason as much as anyone, but if he's not fit to run against a power 5 defense, I don't want him trotted out there to blow his confidence just because of what he "miiiight" become in the future.

How about....play the best quarterback that gives us the best chance to win or its rediculous. We hired a new coach over one that won 10 games on average over 15 years and everyone is behind it....so how about you trust THEIR decision or its rediculous

You gotta feel for Lambert. Even if he does start, he's gonna have to play flawless. Last year South Carolina esque.

As soon as he makes one mistake, whether it be a pick, short armed throw, or 3 and out, the whole stadium is gonna be yelling for Eason.

I'm already resigned to the fact that Lambert is going to start the UNC game. But, if he throws a pick or two early, the Dome is going to turn on him very quickly.

The exact opposite argument could be made. If we don't have firepower in the run game, it has to come through the air. We are gonna need to score a good amount to win this game. Doubt we can win This one like we won out last year.

Quit beating around the bush, man up and declare that Kirby Smart is a shitty coach if he doesn't start your heart throb against UNC...

Then I could come back and say that it's probably better to start and experienced qb when the running backs won't be as experienced in pass protection and we'll need someone who's been in those situations before

What good is that experience if it can't generate yards or points?

I mean, I'm just saying. That's probably going to play in to who starts.

It all depends on NC and SM. If they cat start and you have to go to EH or you even have to use the freshman backs at all, you have to have someone who knows the protections. I don't think Eason will be ready in that aspect.

He was 63% last year with 2 ints , that's 1 every 6 games. I'm not arguing he should be the starter all year, but let's get Chubb and Sony back before we throw gasoline on the fire.

with 2 ints

That's the most incredible stat ever. Could have easily been 18.

They really need to start keeping a stat on gimme INTs dropped by defenders.

Lambert and Eason have had the same amount of time in the new systems.

hmmmm, not a bad idea. I'll volunteer to keep a running total this year for all QBs.

Lambert's greatest strength is probably his brain. He probably already knows Chaneys new system better than Kirby. That's another reason why he's probably our starter. I just can't imagine a 17 year old competing with Lambert brain wise.

Sweet. We've still got a month. You should go back and watch last season and count Lamberts. I think he had 5 of them against miZzzouri alone
