Is everyone now "cool" w/how Kirby is handling his UGA duties atm?

Seeing as how we're now getting guys like Cavin and that there are rumors of more big names coming aboard during this dead period, what does everyone think?
So many questioned how he could effectively recruit for us while dealing with the Bama title run that I'm genuinely curious what the collective sentiment is now (as he seems to be proving the naysayers wrong).

Yes, I also think it's a good sign for us that he is able to do both jobs at the same time effectively.

I will let you know after national signing day.

Fair enough.
I would still wager that some of the guys who are committing "silently", though, still wouldn't be doing so without Kirby working them. Even if they flip (they are 18 year old kids), we're still getting looks from guys who would have otherwise never been on our radar.

I want to see how we do on NSD. The rumors are nice but we have heard this before. Either way imo we are getting some top athletes and I am happy with the direction the program is going. Still would like for Smart to be here instead of coaching bamas D but there's nothing to gripe about. We got the best option at head coach now and I can't wait to see the results

My point, though, is since we've now got several of these guys committing here lately, do you really think Kirby actually being at UGA now would do anything more to keep them from flipping?
I'm just thinking that he's balancing things a lot better than people thought he would. If a kid flips on NSD, is it because Kirby wasn't physically present at UGA for a month? I seriously doubt it. And I think without Kirby, there are fewer high end recruits to worry about flipping anyway.

He's certainly adding a spark to the program now. We sorely needed some new enthusiasm in Sanford.

Valid. It's like drawing to an outside vs an inside straight; you might not hit it but your odds are definitely better. Just seemed like with Richt, we simply weren't seriously considered by too many top recruits. Here's hoping that is changing.

I credit Eason for the offensive recruiting buzz.

I was never concerned...CMR was gone, and that made everything else fine.

I think he is doing a helluva a job. Putting together a staff which appears to be better thought out then what Richt ever did (we have a ST coach - see how that works, Mark?, recruiting for UGA and coaching for Bama - that is not child's. That is about 3 jobs compared to what say a Kiffin is dealing with right now. I think that recruiting has picked up and we will be duly impressed when he turns his complete focus and efforts to UGA in a matter of days.

You do know that there actually was a time when Swinford had pretty good info, right?
And these recruit reports are coming from other recruits, not nameless "sources".
