So the gums will be the only ones to fill their allotment. Not too shocked by that.

When Bama played at Duke several years ago, the gumps started buying season tickets for Duke just so they could get tickets to the away game. When Duke figured out what was going on, and that Bama fans would outnumber the home crowd, they wheeled in bleachers and released several thousand more tickets to Iron Dukes contributors. If it was discovered that you sold your tickets to someone outside the Duke Ticket Exchange, you risked losing your Basketball Season tickets. . .shite got serious.

Not surprising, expect everyone other then the Bama fans to return their tickets

I could see Georgia Southern selling all of their allotment. But yea, beyond them and Bama everyone will be returning tickets

Girl at the tailgate Saturday got 5 given to her in 600s while we were there.. I was able to get a whopping $25 for all 5 from a scalper. Was originally $45 cause all I said was I got 5 for $10 each. He "jewed" me down to $45. I handed him the tickets face down got the cash and walked away. He moved fast for being such a large man. He demand his $ back and said " I can't do shite with theses fricking 600s maaannnnnn" his accomplice finally agreed to take them if I gave them $20 back.
TL;DR. I wouldn't sit there for bama game if they were free.

Makes sense
Triple witching hour
Weekend before
#1 Breeders Cup (tickets super expensive - seats costing 1,000 to 3,000 per are not uncommon)
#2 Tennessee game got moved to week before
#3 Halloween
also Keeneland meet the month of October (huge money drain) and basketball payments coming due around then as well.
2 years from now there will be no Breeders Cup so no massive money drain so close to UGA game.

The people who got those BC tix aren't the same people traveling to away football games. Just saying. The people that have those BC tickets are likely staying in Lexington the next week and weekend because of the Keeneland breeding stock sale going on.
Hell, I'm going up for the Breeders Cup. NOt all the tickets are crazy expensive.

Who knows. Maybe they were tired of some "Hobnailed boot" ACCPD sniffing in their cup while walking down Lumpkin. Not driving. Not bothering anybody.
Just going to a football game.
If you can afford to PAY to be within the University property, you can drink all you want...glassed in exclusive suites.
I'm becoming tired of this dichotomy, this division between those that have privilege and those that will get a ticket for walking past the gas station.
Legality has become a matter of feet.
You would think that the revenue generated would be put to use controlling traffic.
Maybe you could have an officer directing traffic at Lumpkin and Mllledge after the game.
Athens is a great place.
Just obey.

Where are your tickets?
I think GA are 50 but GA CH are closer to 400, and that is no place to sit, just walk around. TCA had seats for 600 but no track access.
As for BC and UGA I want to do both and there are others like me but BC has been a drain. Instead, planning on BC this year and ATL in 2 years.

I'm actually tailgating both days on the Hill. Figured I could enjoy the big screen and the local betting windows all while being able to spread my legs and have as much to eat and drink as I want without waiting in line forever. I just wanted the festival atmosphere. To be honest, it is easier to follow the races on TV screen anyway. $100 for both days for whole car ( up to 6 persons).
I have been to plenty of Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland. I cannot even imagine what it will be like when they try cramming 10-15K more into the interior of the plant. The actual good seats ( as far as watching the races live) were either not for sale to public or snatched up by ticket scalping outfits before any normal person could get through last Spring. I figured that would happen, and I was at work that day anyway.
Absolutely looking forward to the party all weekend in Lexington, though.

There's no gas station within a mile of the stadium. If you were drinking beer in front of a gas station, you deserve to be cited.

The only that would be close would be at 5 pts. The kangaroo near butts-mehre is likely within a mile.

1.1 miles according to google maps walking directions.
ETA that gas station by Cali n Tito's.... that's 0.8 miles.
But I bet that wasn't the one he was in front of.... when the cops wanted to have a word with him.
