I still really like our chances moving forward for a few reasons:

1) This team will rally around Todd (even more). They will be busting their arse for #3. Sucks balls for the TG, but, I think our backfield will march on, literally.

2) Sony will be healthy by GT at the latest. Between Chubb and Michel we still have perhaps the most potent set of tailbacks in the country.

3) Teams around us will continue to lose. ASU's out of this thing - FSU will be too as soon as they lose (and they will). I have a feeling that if we win out- we'll all be very happy.

4) Our D. If they continue to show up.

doubt if Sony will be 100% this season, and FSU won't lose

Honestly, I think UF will catch 'em. All of this is moot if Mizzou doesn't lose.

Any idea on when we might know the extent of the injury?

Gurley has no choice but to enter the NFL draft imo

Can't risk further injury playing for the Dawgs

Lattimore also had, what, 3 ACL tears?

ACL x 1 in both knees and MCL x 1 in one knee. He just retired because his knees are "beyond repair". Keith Marshall has been struggling for over a year after an ACL tear.

Knee problems are anything BUT easy to recover from as previously stated.

Objectively I have to agree. If I was his agent, I would have advised him not to return after the suspension. Gurley is one of those tall RB's like Lattimore who seem to be prone to ankle and leg injuries in general. Defenders are going to submarine players like Gurley and frankly I think Gurley was hurt on a previous play when just that happened. I saw nothing on the play where he left the field that seemed to have directly caused the injury other than an awkward step with this left left.

What's the likelihood that Marshall returns this season if Gurley does in fact have an ACL tear?

Regular season, I don't see it, either. BUT, Duke or GT could possibly slip up on them. they are not as good as they were last year.

That said, I don't see us making the playoff under any scenario.
