Deserve scholarships as they take a beating and any concussion protocal greatly effects what they do.

Those guys take and give blasting on about every play go against Defensive ends and line backers

Unfortunately for fullbacks, their athletic skill set isn't exactly rare.

And their position is largely being phased out of modern football

True, but these guys are likely the highest health risk on the field for long term neurological issues.

Maybe the position should be rem I ved from the game? Sounds sad but concussion and fullback go together like no other position.

Meh fullbacks aren't needed honestly in this modern area of football. Just take a TE and throw him back their if need be.

SS, OL, RB, DL, LB all bang their heads more often than a FB does in a game.

A highly skilled FB capable as a runner, blocker and receiver absolutely deserves a scholarship.

According to a story just published this week (which I'll have to find), the cheerleaders had more reported concussions than the football team, this past season.

Place kickers are more necessary than fullbacks but they usually don't get scholarships as freshmen.
