What's a good guess from the GSB? I was thrilled with Fromm's debut but we need Eason to be healthy by the MSU game. I may have nightmares with Ramsey being Fromm's backup.

Sounded like an acl from how they talked about it but I haven't seen anything official

Damn, I hate it for him. And to think that Eason and Francois were taken out by left knee injuries.

You should sign up for my pic em. Could win a 100$ amazon gift card.

I hate it for him too though. Especially more since Ramsey is QB2 now

From what I've read, grade 1 or 2 knee sprains are between 2 and 6 weeks recovery time. Not sure how serious the injury is but I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't available against ND.

Is it for sure a sprain?

A severe enough sprain is a tear. We'll know soon.

Everything I've read so far says a sprain but it's still early so nothing is certain at this point. We'll find out soon.

Radi Nabulsi also hinted at an ankle problem, although I assume the ankle would heal before the knee?

Nobody knows anything right now until swelling subsides and they can perform an MRI. Likely won't know until practice on Monday or Tuesday if we find out before ND at all (I'd suspect Kirby will play this one close to the vest).

Sprain would be best case and put Eason back by Tennessee, Vandy, or Mizzou. Obviously worst case is that we live and die by Froom and Chaney's willingness to let him play

They'd probably heal at equal speeds given that Eason would be virtually immobile

Would expect Fromm to get plenty of playing time.

Fromm needs a good package of slants and screens and short outs to work on all week. Add in a couple of deep throws and maybe we can make the run game work next week. Damn, I wish we had Bobo to call the plays.

If he didn't I'd be pissed. No way in hell Ramsey should be taking snaps.

I meant it as Eason might be hurt worse than some think. Fromm looks legit. Smart kid.

What was wrong with the play calling today? Didn't Bobo go durp in most of the big games?

No idea, but he should be out and proud, and we should all support his courageous decision.

I'd say 2 -6 weeks if it is a sprain depending on the severity. They can't tell if the ACL tore til they get a picture. If it's a smaller tear, id say he will be back for the Birmingham Bowl.

The last few years Bobo was here he was the only OC in the country on losing end of 45-42, 38-35, 34-31 that would catch more blame than anyone on the Defense staff.

The play calling has more to do with what the defense is giving us and what we need for our running game to be successful, and less to do with what will make the QB successful.

Yesterday, the defense was giving us the middle of the field in the passing game. So we targeted our TEs and slot receivers more.

However, I'd expect the defense to force our throws to the outside more in future games. This helps us open up our running game better by forcing the safeties and linebackers to respect sideline to sideline. It isn't the best thing for Fromm. But I expect it will be the majority of our offense if he is at the helm at QB.
