Morning fellas. I'll probably be coming up to Athens this fall for the Bama game and need some advice on where to stay/when to book.

Is it early enough to lock down a room in Athens or should I just wait and book a room in Atlanta?

Looking forward to my second trip to Sanford. I came down for the SC game a few years ago but stayed with a friend in Athens that is...no longer an option

Hotel Indigo if you want to be really close. Spring Hill suites off the Oconee Connector is an easy drive, but not right downtown. Foundry Park Inn was okay, but they recently became "Graduate Athens" and not sure about them since the change over.

Did you get drunk and try to have sex with his dog? Feel like there is a story there

If I were you I'd call asap for a room. They book quick. I'd find the cheapest available not like you're going to be spending much time in your room.

Most likely, the person he stayed with in Athens graduated and moved to atlanta for a cublicle worker bee job, so he can't stay in athens with that person anymore.

Let's focus on the geographical inconsistencies of his recommendation request now.

How can you be north of athens and also south of athens? You can't. This dude thinks we're a bunch of dumbasses.

Bulldog Inn on 441 North of town. That's by far the best option.

Shouldn't the geographical point of reference for a post be the location of where you are sitting while typing the post?

Otherwise, he would of had to type the first part of the post south of athens, and then move north of athens to type the last sentence for it to be accurate.

Why did a Yale man come down to the 33rd parallel to build a school on 633 acres? That is a much more important question.

At this point, you'll probably have to settle for a hotel room in Commerce.

Geographically speaking, up and down were used improperly in the OP. I'll be traveling from the south again, as I did previously

As for the accommodations, I was dating a girl that had a relative in Athens at the time. I'm no longer dating the girl, and I don't think the relative is in Athens anymore

For those that responded, thanks for the reccomendations

For those that had their mind jump to bestiality, it may be time for some introspection/ seeking Jesus
