It seems like yesterday when things were just different with Richt. He was a homerun hire, and in his first five years had 3 SECCG game appearances, winning two of them.

He was a rockstar.

But he soon became a victim of his own success. The next 10 years of his career yielded 2 East titles with zero SECCG victories. In his final year, he could potentially win 10 ballgames. But we're firing him because he isn't meeting the expectations that he helped to create in the first place.

Anyways, just giving Richt some respect.

No question he did great things for the program, but it seemed to be going a little stale. Richt's real problem was other SEC teams upgrading at HC and making the competition much tougher, particularly when Meyer was hired at Florida.

Peter Principle.... IMO Richt had reached his maximum potential.

I don't think CMR has liked his job the past 5 or 6 years.

He has been bored and looks it.

He likes cashing the checks.
