Anyone care to fill me in on why Fournette has slightly better odds to win the heisman than Chubb? Even if you give Fournette the benefit of the doubt that he is as talented as Chubb (although the stats don't indicate that), Chubb is still on a better team that is more likely to have a better record, and also has a strong O-line to run behind. Thoughts? Maybe this thread would be better suited for the LSU board?

If I were to post it to the LSU board I would probably just keep it short and sweet. "Why does Fournette have higher heisman odds then Chubb, when he is the better running back, with the better offensive line, on the better team?" Think that would cover it?

Fournette is LSU's only offensive weapon. They are shite at qb, and their other rb's are shitty.

Fournette is going to be a workhorse.

Although LSU does have to play Alabama, everyone else on LSU's schedule is dog shite.

Fournette is probably going to have better numbers.

Chubb has help, he will split carries. UGA, even though we don't know who our qb is, will still have better qb than LSU and better receivers.

That's my theory.

Or...........

What is more likely.....

The odds makers know LSU fans are stupid and they can put him at the favorite and still get millions of idiot bets for him.

Chubb also has better tight end options that can not only spread the field a little for him on play action fake, they can also block on the second level for him, unlike anything LSU has.

That's my theory.

If Les has any brains all, this will be true. That has nothing to do with the odds though.

Your other scenario is more likely.

I'm not trying to be a dick when I say this

Chubb is slightly overrated

Fournette is underrated

Unfortunately, you've always been a dick without even trying.

Maybe. But I doubt it. At this point there's no way Fournette is underrated. There's a small chance Chubb is...But I doubt it.

It's based on where the money goes. Vegas doesn't care who wins as long as they make money. Obviously more money is coming in on Fournette and that's why his odds are better.

I'd clarify who your "he" is referring to in this sentence. I almost instinctively read it as the "he" is referring to Fournette and you know our LSU pals will jump all over that.

agree with all that except the wide receivers. They are definitely more talented than us there.

LF returns kickoffs and punts... I have no idea. It doesn't matter. If you like Chubb's odds throw a little cheddar on him being UGA'S third trophy winner.
