in hindsight, he should have never allowed himself to be talked into continuing with bama through the playoffs..I don't think he was as prepared to accept a HC gig as he should have been (imo of course)..so far coaching hires seemed to have been achieved in a likewarm manner..we'll see if he can salvadge or even improve on the current recruiting class..the real rub is can he and his crew gameday coach..something we've not really had in Athens for some time now..admin could have been a little better prepared for the coaching of the bowl game as well..

still will support the changes and enjoy the football as it should be enjoyed..

It is definitely rubbing me the wrong way that he is our HC now and will be on the sidelines coaching Bama again in a few weeks wearing Bama gear. Something wrong with that shite. The moment he was announced as Georgia HC he should have been done in Tuscaloosa.

Staying I ttwon coupled with underwhelming support staff or lack of staff thus far is enough to rub any fan raw. The decommitd hurt but I'm curiously waiting to see what tricks he's got up his sleeve before I decide to shite in his flower pots.

I agree, but people are saying that the camera pointing at him once a game while the announcers say in the background "Future head coach at UGA" will more than make up for him not being full time bc all the 5 stars will instantly want to commit after hearing that or something.

bullshite... Saban would NEVER allow for any media to solicit their brand while his team is playing...

And to be quite honest, that may be the most ginger, tampon soaked, comment I've ever read on this board...

I don't know many coaches, if any, who would leave a team in the midst of a national title hunt. I think it would be frowned upon in coaching circles. Our situation with CMR, etc. is different. They ain't chasin' rings.

I think UGA fans need to chill a little and let this season and hire play out before making rash judgements. CKS has been a very, very busy dude in the past few weeks. Cut the man some slack and give him some time before passing judgement. The ink's barely dry on his contract.

The only one that doesn't look great on paper is Chaney, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for this season, which is going to be a struggle offensively no matter who we hire more than likely.

I am as disappointed in some of this as anyone but I am not ready to call any of this a failure until we see the actual product on the field. Or signing day even.

It's always darkest before the dawn. Buckle up ladies.

Little was said during the SECCG if I remember correctly about Smart's new gig. I know it hadn't been officially announced but it was a given. I'm gonna get behind him and not be a Debbie Downer.

I guess we could look at it like he's just building upon his legend even more for recruits.

Richt stayed at FSU to coach their offense in the title game after he accepted the head coaching gig at Georgia.

That seemed to work out okay.

Half of this board still had empty nut sacks when Richt was hired. Don't try to get them to understand.

Simmer down. He'll be better than Richt. It starts at the top. The team will take on the mentality of Smart, not the offensive coordinator or line coach. Kirby isn't going to put up with a bunch of coddled, soft-as-cotton, mentally weak football players. He's going to whip your roster into shape through discipline and attrition. Y'all are going to find out soon enough who's willing to work and who's stuck in the Richt era mentality. Those kids will end up at Auburn and Tennessee. Don't care how talented any of them are, if they leave then you're better off without them.

As far as Kirby staying on at Bama, that would piss me off too in your shoes. Is what it is, that's what he decided to do. It's not going to change the outcome of a single game next year though if we're being honest

I understand the timing was favorable for CMR to quickly get another HC gig at Miami, but the timing absolutely sucks for UGA. We should have not fired Richt until after the playoffs were over and our recruiting class was secured.
