TG3 is one of my all time favorites. Sat on the front row right beside where the teams come out at Clemson. He was bigger than our LB's. Hope he's a monster in the NFL.

Interesting tidbit from the Rams' GM...

quote:

“One of the things we looked at was the team around him. I’m not sure about this, but it’s possible there might not be an offensive lineman who blocked for him at Georgia who will start at the next level, or play at the next level. When we looked at him on tape, we saw him playing against a lot of seven- and eight-man fronts, which is what he’s going to be seeing when he lines up for us. We saw him playing against not a lot of air, which is what he’s going to be seeing when he plays for us. So that translates pretty well.”

Ugly truth about our OL. Nice to see it starting to turn around in recruiting.

I'll take that bet.

I couldn't care less if anyone goes on to play in the pros, I care about what they do here. Our OL last year was a MASSIVE upgrade from even just a couple years ago. We have a lot of guys on our line who will be very, very capable SEC football players and that's all that really matters.

Did David Andrews not make a squad?

I believe the Patriots picked him up for OTAs.

Tough defenses in that division. Hopefully the Rams dont run him to death in three years with mo real QB to take pressure of.

I think he's referring to the line that Gurley played behind during all three seasons and the fact that Gurley's performance was consistent regardless of the line play.

I'm confusing him and Big Ben Jones.

We don't have an elite OL by any means, but the OL from 12-14 was not bad compared to many other three year stretches we've had.

Here's a depressing thought. Imagine Gurley running healthy behind our 02 OL for a couple seasons. Dude would've won two Heismans.

Its pretty much true. This is about Gurley on the NFL website
quote:

In 2014, churned out an amazing 61.9 percent of his rushing yardage after contact.

Then folks want to say that since Chubb did just as good, that Gurley is overrated. To them it is obvious that the Oline was great while these two dawgs are just avg.

Our Oline talent has been avg at best recently, but we are starting to get some good talent in. Can't wait to see them next season(s).

Who would ever call Gurley and Chubb average?

Our OL over the last few years has been above average...but to UGA fans this appears to be somewhere between epic and GOAT just because of past under performance.

If they can get Foles consistent they have a good Quarterback.

Foles doesn't have to do much. They can go high percentage short pass game and when the defense moves up Gurley can find the crease for big yards.
