Those who said Kirby was the reason Bama gave up 40 last year look dumb.

My thoughts exactly! He's thrown for over 400 yards and almost as many rushing yards as last year.

They did a solid job of blaming him and not giving credit to Deshaun Watson as a big-game QB.

Watson is just a great player. Game is made for offense these days. Besides. Some of the points given up last year were when Bama was up a couple scores. Score was 45-40 but they weren't going all out at the end.

Perhaps we need to start recruiting dual threat QBs. They're just so hard to defend and make your offense so multi-dimensional.

If you think at all that Hurts isn't so great just remember more are like him than Watson. Make no mistake. Watson can run but his passing is what sets him apart.

Murray wasn't really a dual-threat, though he was pretty mobile, and our offense was as good as it's ever been with him at QB.

I don't think you necessarily need a running QB for these kinds of games but you definitely need reliable receivers.

He could have been if we ran that style.

I think Bama lost their way this season. They ran too much zone and qb stuff because he was mobile. Bama was best when they had giant ugly people up front and ran the ball whether u liked it or not. Think seccg 2012. We were great that year and they ran for 400.

True. I know Eason isn't a threat to run but he clearly looked more comfortable in a shotgun offense. A majority of teams have adapted to the spread look anyway.

Games like this just reinforce that even a defense as talented and experienced as Bama's can have problems with a sharp passing game.

Could be worse. You could be an Auburn fan living in Alabama for the past several years.

One of Clemsons best receivers is a 1 star walk on.

That's neat.

Literally every other scholarship WR on their roster (and even with the upcoming class) is a 4* or better though.

You're a broken record at this point.
