Park for free in East Campus Village (across the street from the Intramural Fields off COllege Station Road). Easy to get in and out of.
Tons of folks tailgate down there and you can either walk River Road past some of the frat houses diectly to the tracks-side of the stadium (East Campus Rd) or take a Bus from the parking deck which will let you off over there as well.
From there, it's totally your call on what to do:
- Tons of tailgating to take in on Meyers Quad, south of the stadium or on North Campus
- Hike North to downtown and watch some of the early games at the bars
- Dawg Walk is usually 1.5-2 hours before kick in the Tate Center parking lot
- Uga (Que) usually sets up below the bridge about the same time as the Dawg walk, so you can take pics of him (though not with him) if you want
Really, just make your own fun. Bring beer, find a friendly tailgate with a TV and post up. Or if you've got your own set up in mind, get to ECV early
As for places downtown, everywhere will be busy. If you already have a particular food selection in mind but don't know where to go to get it, I and everyone else can help you figure that out.
