It's really smart. I'd even offer to host B1G satellite camps on UGA's campus. Use their functions to showcase UGA.

We won't get every recruit in state. And if they're not going to Georgia, much better that they go OOC to somewhere like Michigan who we probably won't play.

This was my thought as well. I'd shared the "poster" image in the recruiting thread, but probably deserved its own thread anyways.

My favorite quote was:

quote:

Will Harbaugh and Smart be able to get along on the same field for one day? Smith, who was aware of the backstory between the two coaches, just laughed when asked.

“I don’t know,” Smith said. “I guess they get along. We’ll see when they get here. I hope they are friends. If they’re not, I’ll get them each some football pads and let them go from there.”

At first I thought this would be the two teams practicing together which would actually be kind of cool. Although I'd doubt we'd see anything other then basic plays and drills

I like it. If other teams are going to come to your state to hold these things, you might as well try and control the narrative by getting your program involved too

Would love for this to turn into a home v. home. The Big House is unreal.

I think having Dawgs and Wolverines at the same camp is good for both programs and great for the kids.

Not sure if serious. However, I went to the Michigan/Wisconsin game in 2010, and it was abnormally boring for a crowd of 100K+. I'm a UGA fan first, college football fan second. Of the 8 games outside of the SEC I've witnessed, this was by the worst.

Went to a game there a few years ago. They tailgate more like Vandy. Bunch of wine and cheese folks. Super nice people though. Plus the stadium is flat so it didn't get very loud even for a big game.

I've heard it is perhaps the oldest fanbase in CFB.

When college game day came there this past season it looked awesome but ESPN is good at making any campus/game look fun.

It's a great setup. Definitely a place to go for a game but I suppose I'm just use to the southern way of tailgating and what not. Pitt was a lot like it. Maybe it's a northern thing where they are all calm and relaxed and just chill for games.

Thinking outside the box. Do like. Smart isn't afraid to make this program his own, and do what he frickin' wants.

So far - so good.

Wisconsin is liberal. Wine and cheese is perfect for them.

I think it will create a lot of buzz and attract a lot of players which can only be good for us.

fricking Genius...Kirby Smart is.....SMART....

Seriously...we should invite the entire big 10 to Athens....if they ain't going to UGA better they got to Michigan or Ohio State than Tennessee or South Carolina...and there ain't a better campus in the SEC to showcase so we keep the recruits we were going to get anway and maybe attract a few we weren't and give our competition much more out of the region conmpetition to contend with....

Unfortunately the only Big 10 games I have been to were second tier bowl games where we played Big 10 schools and their fans are just not that into it from what I have seen...Wisconsin in particular...their fans are louder after the game...win or lose...than during because they all get together with the band and have a big ole time. Imagine UGA fans doing that shite after getting beat in AThens by Tennessee...

I have been to several Big 12 games and they are even worse....my best friends daughter is a student at Texas Tech and they have a fantastic campus and facility and the fans are as quite as church mice....we went to the UT / Texas Tech game in Austen last year and it was almost like being at a scrimmage game....and it was pretty dam good game.

And of course growing up in Atlanta I have been to many, many ACC games and they are a JOKE....I went to a Tech FSU game once upon a time with about 30K people there on a beautiful saturday...it was quite as a tomb...

I have some friends that went to Wisconsin and are far from the W&C crowd. They tell me Camp Randall is a big time party.

Heard Michigan is a different deal all together.
