We might only end up as the #3 seed. Our two losses came to the #1 Florida Gulf Coast and #2 Central Florida. Not sure if we will pass them in rankings, or if they have any kind of conference championship.

There is a south regional in two weeks.
The SCHC tournament was also this weekend.
#4 ranked Tampa won, #13 ranked South Florida was second, #1 FGCU was third, and #2 UCF was fourth.
Who knows how the south tournament will be seeded.

I played hockey at UGA in the early 90s. It was a ton of fun. The ACHA is club hockey or not affiliated with the NCAA.
The NCAA has two hockey divisions, D1 and D3. There is only 1 D1 hockey team in the south and that is University of Alabama Huntsville. I don't think there are any D3 schools in the south. I think they are all in the hockey hotbeds of the northeast and Midwest.
If you want to see some really good college hockey watch the Frozen Four which is the NCAA D1 Championship. A lot of the players on those teams go on to play in the NHL. It's broadcast on ESPN every year.
