No I didnt. Was only at Georgia for a year before I decided to leave and try to play baseball at a small school. That lasted another year. Then I found rugby.
Ive played against Georgia in rugby and have a number of friends that played there.
Now that I think about it, Ive played/coached against UGA in two sports.

10 mins into the first period, and Georgia is dominating the game. Must be at least 15 shots on goal for the Dogs to maybe 2 for Carolina, but we havent been able to score. Their goalie is having a heck of a game so far.

2 goals for South Carolina in about 2 minutes give them the lead. Georgia had been playing like trash for about 15 mins now.

Georgia just got focused and played their best line of the night. 4 straight mins on offense, and got the score to go up 5-4 with 2:30 to go.

Great win for Georgia. South Carolina had been on a 8 game win streak according to the announcers.
Thoughts on the game:
-Georgia was easily the more skilled team
-When they played their game, South Carolina could not keep up, and the Dawgs should have had 10+ goals, but the SC goalie played pretty well.
-South Carolina was more physical, and some of it was really cheap, but the refs let them play for the most part.
Going to need another good game tomorrow to beat Ole Miss for the championship. They are ranked #9 in the south. South Carolina was #6. It looks like Ole Miss was 1-5 in their last 5 games before the tournament. We definitely had the tougher bracket.

Just looking at the ACHA website
Alabama and Arkansas are the only two southern teams in D1.
Kentucky and Texas A&M are in D2 with a lot of teams from the North Carolina/Virginia area.
Everyone else is in D3.

Hockey noob questions: Why is Arkansas playing in this tourney if they are D1? Also, how are they the six seed if they are playing D3 teams? TIA

Dont know honestly, but I really doubt D1 and D3 is too much different in the south. Plus, its not a NCAA sport, so they can do whatever they want.
