According to the incident report, Maya Labat said McKenzie “said he was going to call some friends and they were going to come out and he was going to kill her.” No one has been charged in the incident, which is still under investigation according to ACCPD. The report lists as witnesses safety Dominick Sanders, wide receiver Terry Godwin, linebacker D’Andre Walker and safety Jarvis Wilson.

Someone on twitter says it was a waitress that got mad about a shitty tip. No idea how true that is obviously

I don't think there's a whole lot here but still this is A crappy distraction.

If a police report has been filed, and UGA AD has been made aware, as well as CMR, this could get ugly.

I ain't worried. This sort of incident can be cleared up pretty quickly one way or another as there will be plenty of witnesses.

Terroristic Threats (by the code section) has to be corroborated by witnesses and cannot be charged without them or some kind of recording. The way I see it, due to no arrest/charges being made, is that witnesses are conflicting or have denied the statements that were made by the victim. Unfortunately, a distraction, but I would be surprised to see this blow up into a huge deal.

So, exchanging words in an argument with a waitress at Chili's can get you charged with terrorism these days? Are they going to send McKenzie to Guantanamo Bay for this?

This will be a no issue. Players as witnesses. Did he really say it, what was the context, was he kidding, etc.
Probably a waitress paid off by a Bama donor to start a distraction.

Haha, not sure about that, but it is a felony if convicted. Like I said, I think this is a pissed off waitress pressing the issue with the cops that will fizzle out with no formal charges being made but if he is charged he could be in some serious trouble. I do think that Georgia law needs a middle charge for issues like this though, words said that are threatening but that are likely just out of anger and are not meant seriously. You could charge disorderly conduct but it's not clear, based on the info we have, if that would work ethier.
