I may be biased, but I like the dawgs big! Our talent alone should be able to lock down a win in the dome. I have been wrong before, but the Tar Heels really don't worry me. Chubb and co. should run for 6 yards a clip, and Eason's cannon will be respected enough to not stack the box.

Close game until the 2nd half when we start breaking some longer runs.

New offensive coordinator, banged up running backs, subpar playmakers on the edge, a weak defensive line going against Elijah Hood, new defensive coordinator and a true freshman starting?

I still slightly favor the dogs but make no mistake, we're gonna have to play up to our potential to win this one.

For those of you who haven't seen Elijah Hood run, the dude is legit and would be a great back if he played in the SEC.

Also white boy Switzer is a playmaker

If we run the ball like I hope/expect, I expect a score like this. Simply to put up our points as well as play keep away because they can score.

I would typically pencil in at least 1 FG per game, but the guys we have at the moment dont' inspire much confidence and we dont' know anythign about wassen yet.

I expect at least 550 rushing yards between the 2 teams.

I've said all along that the Dawgs win by 2 tds. We'll run ball control offense, unless Chubb breaks one or two. Our offensive line has progressed well, and we're not showing great depth/strength at wide out, yet. So we'll probably utilize TEs a good bit since that's Chaney's MO anyway. Plus he's not gonna want to throw too much at his newly put together offense and young QB this soon. We'll take what they give us downfield, but I see a conservative offensive game plan, which benefits us. I think we'll keep their offense off the field and it'll be a close game at half. Their D will tire in the 2nd half and we'll pull away. I like your score.

Man, I just don't see it. I think there's going to be some serious points. UNC can score and runs a more up tempo, spread offense. I think we're going to be breaking off some big runs.

Really curious to see what Vegas sets the o/u at

With CKS at the helm and CMT as DC, I'm not as worried about these teams with supposedly "great" offenses. We've got a very strong secondary so I expect to see some man coverage with a stacked box in an attempt to make them beat us through the air.

I think it will be very similar to the Clemson game 2 years ago. Start close, pull away in the second half.

41-24 for us.

I think their is a huuuuuge potential for a high scoring game, but first game out, just have a weird feeling it's going to be a lot of tripping over ourselves and each other and look sloppy...hope I'm wrong, but that's my gut feeling.

Chubb starting. In Dome. Kirby's first game. Eason and other QBs competing. Rock Star TEs. Better O linemen techniques. Strong aggressive defense. It all adds up:
