Bruce Cobleigh, who built the Harrison High School football program from scratch and whose name is on the school’s football stadium, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. One of the first hires made when the school opened its doors in 1991, Cobleigh coached the Hoyas from their varsity debut in 1992 through the 2007 season. He then returned for the final three games of the 2012 season, following a midseason coaching change. In all, Cobleigh went 125-61 as Harrison’s coach, winning four region titles and taking the team to the state championship game in 2000. He stepped down in the spring of 2008 to focus more time on family, and the school’s stadium was named in his honor later that fall.

Very sad. He was the coach when I was there. One of the good ones

Prayers for him and his family
