That's ridiculous. I know he's not going to light it up in the pros but he could at least be like Paul Worrilow...a guy that just gets to the ball

I know we got Ganus after UAB dissolved, but I didn't really follow the whole transaction. Was Ganus being pursued by a bunch of other schools besides UGA when UAB went down? or did Pruitt or whoever see something in him that nobody else did?
It's just interesting that a guy like that would start off at a place like UAB when he was able to have such a big impact immidiately at UGA.

Pruitt recruited Ganus when he was at Bama. Wanted him as an LB, I think.
After Pruitt left Bama lost interest and Ganus went to UAB.

Its still surprising no other big school picked him up though. Guy has a knack for being in position to make a play.

I just googled it. Read where Ganus said the only schools recruiting him out of high school were Navy, Air Force, and UAB.

Without Ganus we lose to Georgia Southern. Wish we had him another year.

Out of high school those are the only teams. But I know Southern Miss wanted him but something screwed up in the communication/recruitment process and he dropped them quickly
