Already up on youtube. No bullshite edit so it's only 38 minutes long. Felt like some of y'all needed to take another gander at Kirby's work.
My first take away from the defensive side of the ball is that UNC didn't get nearly enough holding flags. Their left tackle was making a living off of molesting Davin Bellamy.

For all the people bitching about the refs, maybe they'll get a good look at Rankin blocked in the back on the kick return for TD. Or maybe they'll pay closer attention to the blatant holding on UNC Oline.

NC seems to have been coached with a: "get away with as much as you can and we will live with the penalties" mentality.

Check out TJ Logan's 35 yard run that set up UNC's 2nd TD.Our LB virtually gets tackled out in the flat
They were also running pick plays all night long and FINALLY got caught in the 4th qtr.

Could have been.I was at the game and wasn't sure who it was but it was a blatant hold

Roundtree got held on the kickoff return as well.

Cant really complain when it seemed like the refs were calling UNC penalties most of the game. They refs gave us some honestly, that illegal man down field was a game changer, and that second pass inference was bs also imo. I think they called a good game imo, especially in our favor.

The thing about illegal down field is the officials spent all summer telling you, hey we are going to call this really tight. The officials rep said that with the new spread offenses people were getting away with being down field 4,5 sometimes 6 yards the past few years. It was talked about so much there was a rule change proposal to trim it to 1 yard down field. As an OL coach if you know they are going to watching it that hard you have to adjust your teaching.

That call might have been a stretch but Fedora losing his mind and the following safety was entirely on them.
