Freshman Leaving?

I heard that freshman Jonathan Abrams from East Marion here in Mississippi is leaving the program. I work with a guy that is friends with his family and said he was homesick or something? Anyone heard anything?

Haven't heard anything. A lot of guys get that way though. I'd be surprised if he bounces before the season though. It's just kind of boring and quiet during the summer; these kinds of things typically improve come fall

The guy I work with talks a lot of crap though if u know what I mean. And what made me ask was there was a tweet on D1tweets_SEC saying he left the program. Can't copy and paste or I would show you

I can't understand how kids get homesick in normal situations let alone when you are on a college football team. Not terribly empathetic but damn.

Happens all the time especially with kids with girlfriends or ones that never travelled away from home much.

It happens all the time. Happened to hunter Atkinson last year and shaq fluker a couple years ago. It's particularly bad in the summer when there's just not a ton going on other than the monotony of workouts, voluntary player led practices, class and tutoring. Like I said, he will probably be encouraged to make it to the fall before making any kind of decision

I get ya both. I know it happens. I just never understood it. I know it's real and all and I don't understand every situation but I was psyched to go to college and get out. I wasn't even busy. These guys have work outs, a team, and then need only walk in to Bourbon to find female companionship. Unless it's all Whiskey Bent now. Idk, all a football player needs to do is drive through Athens with their windows down as long as they have a valid US drivers license.

I hope that's just a rumor. Abrams looks like he could be a stud.
Hopefully he sticks around until the season and sees Athens in all her glory on a fall Saturday.

Yea I don't think he's going to do anything drastic just yet. He is a hell of an athlete and I expect him to stay.
