The public, do-gooder, guy. But he's a multimillionaire football coach. Would you accept his results as a surgeon? Or pilot? Or company commander? Or shift boss at a 1980's GM plant?
OK, so youre an old dude that compares football coaches to surgeons. I wouldnt have responded earlier if I would have know. Have a great night

, like you, wanted Richt fired not too many moons ago. Then he hired Pruitt. The DC from the defending national champions. I liked that. And if you have been keeping up with the UGA beat over the past 2 years, you would know the impact that Pruitt has had on the program. My opmtimistic veiw on the programs future comes from taking into account these philsophical changes that have taken place within the UGA program. I didnt think we would see the results this year. Thats why I' not totally bummed right now
Exactly.....we're of the same mind. Plus the sea change in dedicating resources and staff to team this summer. Shits gonna take time to wash out.
Plus...this wasn't a loss to a shitty SC or FL team. From what I hear Bama is pretty good.

Georgia was embarrassed on their home field. This shitty Florida team you speak of is embarrassing the same team that beat that "pretty good" bama team in their house.

WHOA! I'VE SEEN THE LIGHT!!!!
The gators are trucking Ole Miss!!!! Fire Richt!! Hire McElwain!!! It's decided!!!
Such stupidity.
I'm sure there were some Bama fans who wanted Saban fired right after they lost to Ole Miss at home. I put them in the same 'special' category I put you in.

Richt has shitty results in big games and folds under pressure. He is saying that you would want a surgeon or a pilot to put up better results than what RIcht is currently doing with the football program. He is 100% right but you don't read and comprehend.

Unbelievable. Talk about stupidity. Taken with all other active coaches - Richt is Top 5 in winning percentage. Not Top 5%. Top 5.
So yeah, being one of the top 5 pilots or surgeons on the planet is really, really good.
Part of the problem with some of you, is that you equate football coaches with surgery and any loss as horrible malpractice. That's immature and assinine. Or any loss as a jet pilot ramming his plane into an apartment complex.
That's why logic fails with you people. You refuse to look at any of this in context.
But hey - you are very entertaining.

Too bad they didn't fire Saban after Ol Miss.
I was talking about last year. FL isn't shitty this year...but losing to a first year HC would not be good for CMR so we'll have to wait and we how the rest of he season plays out.

quote:That is all you guys can say. What has he done vs big game opponents? We still lose to inferior teams and get blown out by our betters. UF last year and GT. This year we get the most embarrassing loss ever for Richt. I'm not talking about beating shitty teams, what big games have Richt won for us? LSU was the last big one with Murray, but when before that?
Unbelievable. Talk about stupidity. Taken with all other active coaches - Richt is Top 5 in winning percentage. Not Top 5%. Top 5.
What Richt's winning % the past 5 years? 10 years? He did great when he first got here, but been all down here after 2005. FACT! If that isn't a fact, then how many SEC championships have we won since then?

Wow. You have absolutely nothing to back up your point of view. 36 ain't old, brother.
He makes more than those folks (MAYBE a handful of fancy surgeons make more). I say he has underperformed on the ROI. He has done a good job but given the talent I'd expect a *great* job. If the UGA fans weren't so masochistic (or, I hesitate to say, religious) he would've been gone by now.

So at least I got you off the surgeon and pilot analogy. Hey, I'll call that a win.
Baby steps.
Baby steps.

Would you want a surgeon who folds under big time pressures of surgery? NO, you wouldn't. Richt performs poorly in big games so no you wouldn't want a surgeon to perform the same. Do you even metaphor brah?

I agree, 10 years of not winning anything with our talent is just a joke.

Has Pruitt and Schotty been here 10 years? Did the AD double the damn budget for football 10 years ago? Did we get the new S&C guys 10 years ago?
I hear you and was right there 4 years ago. I'm just hoping this new regime can turn it around.
