Hocke had everyone on the team lining up and running wind sprints from the goal line to the 35 for at least 5 sets down and back after getting back on the field from the locker room.

Couldn't tell if it was a "get the blood pumping" sort of thing or a "work harder" type disciplinary stick given the way the first half ended, but I don't think I've ever seen us do that before (usually just the kickers milling about on the field and the rest of the team chilling on the sideline).

I liked what I saw.

Whatever he is doing needs to continue. Bama comes to town in a few weeks.

Gotta be ready for all 4 quarters

Did the same thing at the Vandy game. I thought he was pissed for how poor we played in the first half, but maybe it's just a get the blood pumping type thing. Whatever it was for, it seemed to work this week.

Yeah I saw it. Was confused by it because I have never seen it done before. Whatever works though.

We're using science now...

Far out.

Not to be contradictory but I would hesitate to call those wind sprints. There was very little sprinting to it. They blasted off but almost immediately settled into a jog. Seemed like a warmup thing and a keep your mind focused thing.

He did this at Vandy, too.

Yea. I pointed this out to some friends. A few appreciated the observation, the rest realized I pay way too much attention.

Which one of you is right?

I want to believe that scientists in a lab studied this and we are the first to apply their magic.

It was a "get the blood pumping" thing. You are not going to take a chance on wearing your team out for disciplinary reason during a game. If you want to discipline the team, you yell and scream at halftime and tell them what is going to happen on Monday.
