Man the first few years would be rough, doesn't fit this roster at all. Also not a big time recruiter guy so be prepared for everyone getting pissed that we aren't top ten recruiting if we had him.

Chip Kelly has great knowledge of the recruiting area and he gets along great with the brothers. The man is just so personable and he makes such wonderful personnel decisions. I am sure he will keep Schottenheimer and look to recruit some QB who is always injured so that we have a built in excuse.

Seriously, anyone who wants Kelly must be a complete moron.

Chip Kelly is a great college coach, not working out for him in the NFL and I wouldn't be surprised if he came back to the college ranks and started kicking arse again soon.

Athletic dept has a jet. Track the flight logs where they go and/or what comes into Athens.

This is the single dumbest post I've ever read on this board. Guy was in NC contention every other yr in a state with little if any HS talent.

Could be Matt Rhule. He has taken Temple from 2 - 10 to 10 -2 in 3 years. Lights out D.

Guy was at a school who was endorsed by Nike and given everything (Oregon is a recruiting wet dream)....played in a cupcake conference....how many national championship wins? Seems like we just fired a man for not winning a NC and playing in the toughest conference in the land and now we want to hire a guy that's never won one? Makes sense to me...

I was wondering last night why his name hasn't surfaced much. VERY impressive what he's done at Temple....Temple!

Sounds a lot like Al Golden's resume.

We play cupcake east schedules with nothing to show for it, while He won the PAC a few times and played for a national title.

Do you think we're going to hire someone who "has" won one as a HC?

No I'm not a fan of this move. I believe Richt deserved a little more backing and a chance to see what Eason and Co. could do. Grass isn't always greener on the other side, and it seems that the moves tend to fall for the worse more so that the better. Richt brought stability and created the expectations so many have taken for granted. Every school in the country is chasing Saban and Myers...and yet at the end of the day....they're two elite coaches. Richt isn't elite but he deserved another chance with a "franchise" QB. Hope this doesn't backfire on us but I'm not as upbeat as most on here.
