In general how far is too far in cheering on your team?

Asking because some in my inner circle feel I went overboard this past Saturday. I never personally attacked Carolina or yelled at one of their fans. I just was hyped up as shite and yelling for the dawgs on the walk to the game. Yeah I was obnoxious but it was nothing but love for the dawgs. Is vocal love wrong?

That said I really hope one of y'all saw me eat shite outside the MLC walking out of the game. I was in a black AJ Green jersey and got my legs taken out by those fricking black straps that are keeping people off the grass.

As long as you're not swinging on someone or threatening bodily harm to yourself or others, be as loud and obnoxious as you want on the way to the game. Just don't be a pain in the arse while in trying to see or hear what's going on on the field.

Only when auburns in town. In which case try and catch a cold if you can, too. Helps the phlegm content which adds weight for better propulsion and aerodynamic quality

I had four USC fans in front of me. They were not thrilled. They shouldn't have sat on the Georgia side

You didn't have to tell us you were wearing a jersey after this description.

We knew.

And ration it for the older women and the children. Though truthfully if they're watching Jeremy Johnson one could argue they're already being tortured enough.

You are an adult and are expected to act like one. Are you being reasonable? Pay attention to your surrounding and how people are looking at you. Don't make an arse of yourself. But if someone's bro g a douche, make your own decisions.

On a side note and not really a complaint but I haven't had as much fun at games this year because there have been too many damn kids. I had two in front of me, one behind me, and one on my left for the south Carolina game.

Live by this rule: Don't be a flaming douchebag. Try and, you know, act like a man.

Not a flaming douchebag.

Be as loud as you want to. Frick everybody else!
AINT NOTHING FINER IN THE LAND
THAN A DRUNK OBNOXIOUS GEORGIA FAN!!

I try to get that chant going in a crowd no matter where I'm at. Concerts ball games. Wherever.
But I don't wear a jersey!

Jerseys are not what normal college students wear.

Also, find a new name for the science learning center. It's not appropriate to refer to any other building as the SLC. That's day 1 shite they should be teaching you.

Picture yourself with a wife or girlfriend and ask yourself if you want people acting the way you are acting around them. If you would find a fan of another team obnoxious for acting the way you were, then you are going too far.

I always try to be a gracious host when people are visiting my house. Sanford is your house. How do you want to be treated when you are visiting another teams stadium? Not a problem to cheer the team....just do it light heartedly and not overbearing. If all your friends thought you were going too far, then you probably were.

You said it was an AJ Green jersey. Green came to UGA 8 years ago, which is around when I assume you bought it. And if you're a college student now, then you must have been around 12 when you got the jersey.

Conclusion: You still dress like a 12 year-old.

It depends but in the SEC only Gators or Mizzou fans wear jerseys. There's a dress code and it involves you throwing down stupid amounts of money for Georgia nike Polos

Everyone made good points here.

That said, fun story from the game Saturday. We had one Gamecock in our section who wasn't the worst opposing fan we had in our section but he was annoying as frick. He was one of those cock gobblers who would stand up and clap every damn time South Carolina did anything. He'd do one of those circle around clapping at everyone. So, in retaliation, we just clapped after play and we clapped until the next play. Just mocked the guy until he left and then we clapped then.

Best part was when the clapper spoke to the 90 yr old around our section. He was saying something, not taunting him, and the old dude just gave him the bird and the crowd roared
