Based on last season’s record, the Falcons will play the easiest schedule in the NFL.

The Falcons play only four teams — Eagles, Colts, Texans and Cowboys — who finished 2014 with a winning record.

Here are the teams the Falcons are set to play. Last season, the times and dates of the schedule were released in April.:

Home: Panthers (7-8-1), Saints (7-9), Buccaneers (2-14), Eagles (10-6), Redskins (4-12), Vikings (7-9), Texans (9-7) and Colts (11-5).
Away: Panthers (7-8-1), Saints (7-9), Buccaneers (2-14), Cowboys (12-4), Giants (6-10), 49ers (8-8), Jaguars (3-13) and Titans (2-14).

The Falcons strength of schedule for 2015 is .409, which beat out the Colts (.417) for the easiest strength of schedule next season.

Based on 2014 records, the Steelers will play the toughest schedule (.579) in the NFL next season.

Every single year at least 5 teams that made the playoffs the previous year don't make it again the following year.

This league is built on parity. Unless you're the Jags, Bucs, Raiders, and Browns, you have a chance to go from 5-11 to 11-5 in any given year. Unfortunately, those 4 teams are cursed. But everyone else only needs to make a few tweaks here or there and they can be a force to be reckoned with.

So this strength of schedule stuff is always so useless and misinforming.

The one nice thing I do see about our schedule is we only have potential for just one cold game. And that's only if the NYG game is late in the year. If it's early, we have no cold games at all.

Other than that, we have no clue how good or bad any of these teams we play will be.

I agree to an extent. Its better to be in our position than the Steelers (toughest schedule) though.

I believe we are a playoff team when we actually make it. This team is project and it will have to built up to anything post-1st round.

It's been leaked that the NYG's home opener is week 2 vs our Falcons.

If this is true, it means we don't have a single cold game, which would be awesome.

Sure hope its better than the last time those two met in the dome. I left around halftime when our fans were cheering Mike Vick (in an Eagles uni) to victory.

Philly throttled us.

Falcons beat Vick and Philly in 2011 at home. But yeah I remember watching that game on tv and the fans were a disgrace.

2015 Schedule

Week Location Opponent | Opponent Previous Location Previous Opponent
1 Home Eagles | N/A N/A (Mon night)
2 Road Giants | Road Cowboys
3 Road Cowboys | Road Eagles
4 Home Texans | Home Buccaneers
5 Home Redskins | Home Eagles
6 Road Saints | Road Eagles (Thurs night)
7 Road Titans | Road Dolphins
8 Home Buccaneers | Road Redskins
9 Road 49ers | Road Rams
10 BYE
11 Home Colts | BYE BYE
12 Home Vikings | Home Packers
13 Road Buccaneers | Road Colts
14 Road Panthers | Road Saints
15 Road Jaguars | Home Colts
16 Home Panthers | Road Giants
17 Home Saints | Home Jaguars

2 Prime-Time games (Monday Night vs. Eagles Week 1, Thursday Night at Saints Week 6). Catch the Colts with both of us coming off of a Bye, and get the entire NFCE in 4 of the first 5 games.

The 3 away games in a row before final 2 home games would normally seem bad, but 2 of those games are against horrible teams in the Bucs and Jags, so even that's not really awful.

Plus no cold games is a pretty big deal. Plus a perfect bye week. I mean you just can't be unhappy at all with any bit of this schedule.

This will probably be about an 8-8 team.

Maybe it wasn't the last time they met. Was a Philly bratdown. McNabb was starter. First year Vick back in the league.

Yeah the first time he came back with the Eagles they won by 30+ points, it was a blood bath.
