LINK

In a nutshell:

1. Tennessee
2. Bama

And then there's this little tidbit that makes you go "WTF?"...

quote:

Ferns: “Probably be Georgia. When I was there, they said Alabama is even better. If that’s the case, I’m assuming Alabama is probably nice.”

And we wonder why CMR was fired (not really, but...).

One would hope. But then, if they were saying that.....is that actually any better?

Our problem. Is the piece mill nature we do things in. If we had just built or rebuilt everything at once we would be up their. Our crap is scattered and I wish we moved the track somewhere else.

Do think we will finaly have the best once it is all finished at least until the next guy updates....but we are already very late to the party.

And I wonder how some people put their own pants on in the morning. That quote has literally nothing to do with richt, our staff, our recruiters, players, anything.

Anything? Really? You don't think the statement is indicative of anything?

Please, pass a little of whatever you're having.

I'm wondering how McGarity hasn't been fired.

I really wanna win the power ball so I can walk into his office, slap him with a million bucks, and then throw down 150 million for football and baseball improvements. The only stipulation will be a team of competent individuals will be selected to carry out this task.

I know everybody hates him, but he is the one that pulled the trigger on getting rid of Richt. I think it was the right move to get the program moving forward.

He didn't pull the trigger. He was the trigger that was pulled.

I just think it goes a long way in showing how complacent we were with being second tier. You name it...facilities, coaches, administration, whatever. CMR did lobby tirelessly for the IPF, but it wasn't until Pruitt opened his mouth that the administration decided to open their wallet.

I don't get it (and I'm not hating on CMR - I supported him), but the comment from this kid just gives a glimpse at how UGA was seen as really, really good...but then there's programs like Bama who are just better; programs that put money where their mouths are and made sure they were never looked at as runner-up in conversations like this.

Btw, heard from an outgoing coach the other day that the firing of Richt was all on the boosters, not McGarity. Additionally he found out from Richt by way of a text message during church that Richt had been released. He said Richt ALSO found out that HE was being released while sitting in church...via text message. Ain't that some shite? I'm sure a conversation had probably already taken place letting him know that it was being discussed and he would be notified, but still. Doing the deed via text...ouch.

I doubt that only because he took a new job three days later. A fifty page multi million dollar contract done in three days. shite just doesn't work like that. You can't even close on a house that fast. I think he had notice.

Maybe. Just relaying what this guy said. He's a family member's neighbor and just took a new job with CMR at Miami. A step up for him, which on a personal level is good. He wanted to stay with UGA, but was never told his status. I trust what he has to say since he's obviously been a lot closer to it than any of us.

Not to mention, we know Miami reached out to CMR the week Golden was fired. I'm sure Richt had been given a heads-up of sorts, but the definitive answer supposedly came that Sunday right before noon...which is a little before it got to us. And a new contract can be put together pretty quickly and ready to go if the need is there. I'm sure Miami already had an idea what they wanted to do should the opportunity arise. It wasn't knee-jerk.

I still have a hard time believing this narrative. Our 15 yr beloved head coach couldn't get it done after giving it his all but our 1st yr DC could? That makes no sense.

I wonder how hard Richt was really pushing for the IPF.
