Despite the dropped passes and interception vs Nicholl's...

He still has the highest QB rating and highest yards per attempt.

**This list, as sorted, is total yards, and is meaningless in that regard. **

I don't know why we're so terrified of pulling the trigger on this. Everybody, including Lambert and Eason, know he's the future.

Let him make mistakes, let him fail. He'll be better for it down the road. What will make him worse is pulling every time he makes a mistake and telling him we have no confidence or belief in him.

Start him. Leave him in if he screws up and put the pressure on him. You gotta push the baby bird out of the nest.

I agree. Enough with this QB competition BS! Everyone knows that Eason is the better QB, although lacks in experience. How do you gain experience? By fricking playing. I would rather go 8-4 with Eason gaining valuable experience and progressing as a college QB, than to deal with this two QB rotation shite all season, and still wind up 8-4.

Yeah, let him sling it until he gets comfortable.

That ship has sailed last week. Now we're in league play and they'll start Lambert. The o-line tool last week off.

I hope like hell they don't waste 1 year of the 3 we will be getting. That would be tragic. Now Richt would do exactly that, I hope like hell Smart is smarter.

We started him against Nicholls and we struggled to win. I hear what you're saying but are we really prepared to watch his learning curve in league play..in real time?

That wasn't on Eason, though. OL and receivers can't play and fumbles made it closer than it should have been.

I don't think they pulled Eason because of the Int. I think they used Lambert like a closer because he manages the huddle clock and makes reads better. Kirby said before that he feels more comfortable with Lambert for the 2 minute O. I think it was just lead preservation.

Yes. Suck with the old or suck with the future. Lose/Win situation.

In my opinion the reason that Eason hasn't been named the fulltime starter is bc he's not ready. The kid came out of a state not known for it's football and in high school his coach called the play in from the sideline.

He's having trouble reading the defense, making pre snap adjustments, and getting guys lined up and in place. That's the reason why the offense looks so vanilla. They are having to keep it simple for him to be in there. I don't like the qb rotation, but if Eason were reasy he'd be the starter. When he's ready he will start.

This is bullshite.

The reason they haven't named Eason officially has nothing to do with Eason at all.

The reason Eason hasn't been named the starter is because they are afraid of Lambert walking away. He graduated from UVA two damn years ago. He only came here to start. If he is officially benched, he might say frick it with all the practices and busting his arse for nothing.

And behind him is Ramsey and the walk-on, Sam something.

Yeah? Well that's like your opinion man. But I'm pretty sure I've read articles where Kirby has insinuated that Eason is struggling in those areas.

You can cheer against the Eagles. Murray won't be on the field.
