I thought it was awesome today to see he has been given the keys.

He was changing plays out of the huddle based on how the defense was lining up, he wasn't necessarily taking his reads from the sideline either.

This is a fantastic development.

I am very excited about this.

SOmething else I'm excited about.. is when Chubb dragged that tackler down the field... guy was holding on to CHubb's bum leg, and Chubb hopped his little arse down the field getting every extra inch possible, and the knee held up.

My professional opinion on the ankle is that it is fine. At worst, it is a lingering pain... and for Chubb, pain is just a cum stain on suede and he'll play through it like everything is normal.

I saw nothing encouraging on offense or defense today.
And certainly not on ST.

Ehh. Everyone looked sleepy and like they didn't want to be there. I wouldn't say there were no positives. Just they got buried.

All things considered, Eason did a pretty good job today and is definitely maturing. His throws looked better, too.

I think Eason looked pretty good, actually. He forced some throws but he would have had a pretty good day if his receivers caught the balls.

I don't think he played well. There were some forced throws and there some bad misses. The INT was really bad. But nothing that worries me or isn't correctable after more experience. So I'm good on that.

20% of his passes were dropped.

Literally 20%

He'd have a 65% completion if the receivers hadn't dropped them.

He looks better in every game.

Exactly.

He's not a heisman candidate yet but he keeps getting better. He'd be almost unstoppable with a good OL and reliable receivers.

Don't know if it was on Eason but I did not see the pick 6 cuz I was at my son's game... however, I was impressed w/ a late run he made cuz I figure Eason for low mobility

dropped passes are a problem in all of college football, IMHO

We have one of the highest dropped pass percentages in the entire country. I know that it's a part of the game, but you should not be dropping that many passes.

Is Eason throwing too hot of a pass? I don't recall the WRs dropping GL's passes like this. Just wondering if he throws a "less catchable" ball because he has such a cannon and maybe the WRs have rocks for hands. I have seen many underthrown and well overthrown balls as well. Is that just a freshman transition "thing" as he tries to adjust to WRs with more speed relative to what he's used to up in Washington (under/over-compensating still)? Maybe CKS needs to make the WRs do some of the drills MM#26 used to do only they have to do it until their hands bleed and every dropped ball = an all out sprint around the track. Dropped passes have been incredibly frustrating!!!

Imagine if we had another AJ Green type receiver come on board to tandem with JE. THAT would be great to watch. Anyone of that caliber in the next class that we have a chance to land?

I did. Eason didn't under throw the ball at all. his passes looked sharp. I was relieved, to say the least.

He still threw the ball of his back foot, some....but not as much, and mainly when he was under duress.

Happens to everybody. I think Tennessee had a ton yesterday...but you are right. We are having a whole lot more than our share.

It does seem to be worse this year than before.

Agreed. And it's something to be excited about.

True but 2 drops came after the 1st drop for a TD. So 3 drops in one drive, basically within their 30 or 40. So they catch that originally pass, it would of been a TD and the next 2 drops don't ever happen, at least no then.

Although I can't fault IM for getting a drop a game as he isn't a true WR like some of these other guys, so he is still working on his hands.

Eason's throws did look better. I know two easy TD passes were dropped and there might have been a third. The bigger let down was the total lack of a pass defense.

For a TRUE FRESHMAN right out of high school.... He played great....

Imagine how bad it could of been with Lambert in there...

Exactly what I saw.... Eason had at least 2 TD passes dropped...

I expect a lot of rookie mistakes.... but so far it looks like to me that he is progressing.... not regressing...

Eason played very well but his mechanics are killing his accuracy. Well, mechanics and receivers who couldn't catch herpes.
