There were a few, but when it came down to it one player had to make one play on the last play of the game and no one could. It is what it is. Tennessee is a more talented team than we are this year but we played them toe to toe. Could have won, should have won, but don't let it ruin your weekend or your night. We all love our Dawgs but a group of 18-22 year olds playing a game shouldn't have much of an impact on your daily life.

Last kickoff not being hard and deep away from the ONE AND ONLY guy they had deep, allowing him to run it back over the 50.
Rushing 2 with Lorenzo Cartwr uselessly hanging around in the back of the endzone for no reason at all instead of rushing the passer giving the QB all day to set up the pass to beat us. Kirby better fall on his sword for this loss. If not, he should lose the teams confidence. His coaches lost a game that no competent coaching staff should lose with 10 seconds to go.

The coaches made a mess of everything from the last kickoff to UT's winning TD. Absolute stupidity in how they chose to defend that last play. Freaking rush some folks and make Dobbs have to think.

LOL! That play has been defended like that 99% of the time throughout history. If he rushes more and one of the defensive backs gets beat, you would still be blaming Kirby.

There's a few. That said, Smart's a first-year HC. These things have to be expected and I'm not gonna crucify him on stuff like this at this point. I have confidence that it will get better. The overall performance of the team was much better than expected today.

I get rushing 3, liked that part. But putting Carter 7 yards deep in the endzone makes no sense. Should be standing on the goal line and backing up if need be.
Also I get Carter being our biggest guy but not crazy about that, he has no experience high pointing the ball or being in that situation.
Just hate it cause our young team played well and deserved to win, would have been a big one.

Seriously? 99% of the time through the history of football, teams stick a defensive end in the corner of the end zone to stand there like a fricking statue and then make a lame effort to get near the ball? lol
At least if they had another DB with DB instincts back there instead of Carter, maybe we get something out of the numbers.
Maybe Kirby's right about one thing, though...he doesn't have much of a secondary compared to the talent he had at 'Bama.

Yes, I've seen everything from linebackers, tight ends, and some defensive lineman put back there because of their size, in the NFL and in college. It doesn't take much coaching to knock the damn ball down.

The pooch at the end was a very dumb call.
Richt made the same dumb call against tech and it cost him like it cost Kirby.
But it is what it is. We fought to the very end. Under Richt we would have folded after half time.
