1) Their QB has faced Bama but not vice versa. Watson looked very poised last year and should have more confidence this year. I'm pulling for Bama but the Tigers have a big QB edge for this game.

B) Kiffin, he gone. Will Bama's offensive players be comfortable enough with Sark?

This is going to be something to watch. Sark has only been in Tuscaloosa for a couple of months. Kiffin knew this offense really well and knew the players and their tendencies. That's something that Sark just hasn't had the luxury of grasping in his short time there. Will be interesting to watch.

I guess we will find out if/how overrated Ohio State really was. I am expecting Clemson to win a close game tonight...I just think Watson will make enough plays to pull off the win and I don't think Hurts will have much success throwing the ball. Who knows? Maybe Clemson isn't that good and simply had a favorable matchup with Ohio State.

Bama still has better players on both offensive and defensive LOS. Clemson will only win this game if Clemson's OLine can give Watson a chance to be a difference maker. Even then, I'm still not sure if Clemson can stop Bama if they decide they want to rush the ball all game. They would have crushed Washington if Kiffin had committed to the run game early and often.

Someone needs to shake a bottle of oxycodone pills in front of Sarks booth...

One thing I remember in games like this with a QB like Watson is that the QB touches the ball on almost every offensive play.

When a team has an outstanding player it can be crucial to that team's success. When that athlete is a QB it can be deadly.

I doubt Clemson has the depth to beat Bama but I wouldn't be surprised. If Clemson wins it'll be because of Watson.

I think the Steve Sarkisian move to OC will be important. Watson is the better QB and Hurts will be struggle tonight. Clemson wins a close one.

I think Clemson wins. I think Watson just takes over this game. Unlike they guy from Washington, Watson will avoid the pressure and find some receivers.

Game planning for watson is a nightmare. Saban has historically struggled with mobile QB's as well.

I just think the time has come for the Tide to lose. Of course, we say that every game and they keep winning so

Until somebody handily beats Bama they'll always have the edge IMO.

I think so. Clemson definitely has the better offense and the defenses are closer in terms of talent and performance this season. Plus, Kiffin's exit as OC can't be helpful in terms of continuity/preparation.

I don't think Watson has as many weapons this year as he did last year, though. That makes a huge difference.

This, for me, could be a bigger difference maker. It will either throw Alabama into indecision and chaos, or they could just do a plug and play and keep on keeping on. I don't see Alabama going into chaos, so I am going with plug and play.

For me the possible difference maker could be the revenge factor. Clemson will want this badly. I think they have a bit of a drop off after this year, so Dabo will pull out all the stops. We'll know soon.

I agree. but I don't think he will be asked to throw the ball a whole lot. He will throw the ball just enough to keep Clemson honest. Otherwise Alabama will use the power run game. They want tong sustained drives to eat the clock and keep the ball out of Watson's hands. You'll see primarily a 4 man rush with another man spying Watson and the rest dropping back into coverage.

If I had to set the line on this it would be Bama -2.5. Defense wins championships.

I would agree with that line. But it wouldn't surprise me if Alabama blows them out, either. While Clemson could win, I will be surprised. People seem to forget that this might be Alabama's best team in the last 10 years or so.

Maybe so, but we will see what affect Kiffen leaving them has.

I either see it being close, and Bama pulling it out,

or Clemson will win in a blowout

Did we ever find out who the mystery former player is that saban used on the scout team to play Watson?

I assume either sims or coker. The racist thing would be to assume sims but coker was a better runner. And dumb enough to let bama's starting linebackers pummel him like a piece of meat
