Including the bowl game (and hopefully an SECCG) does Chubb break 2000 yards this year? Or does he slow down his production and we find more of a consistent groove with the passing game and get Michel more involved? Or Both?

He's on pace right now to do it in the regular season. I just hope they don't keep him in to rack up yards. I've felt they've done that a couple of times this season.

Honestly... Not to be mean... But who cares other than talk show hosts and people dredging for a story? If he does and we are winning...great. If the load is shared and we still win...even better.

How awesome/crazy is it that Chubb's performance Saturday night barely even sticks out?

Part of it is that he's so consistently good that we've grown to expect it. Part of it is that the offense overall was so balanced and near perfect that he was just another part of the well-oiled machine.

These are Exciting Times, people.

The fact that he had 159 yards Saturday and it felt like he had a mediocre day to me says something. 159 yards is the second best day of Fournette's career.

I don't think it is mean but honestly I think that grandiose conversations such as this one are precisely what message boards are for. We don't belong to the team and many of us never even went to UGA. It is our way of passing the time between the games. That being said I do agree that winning is key and whatever way we have to do that I'm for it. If Chubb gets less carries but is more rested for games and plays better then that's fine with me. It's just the thought of a 2000 yard rusher on this team is exciting to think about.

We remember Chubb from last year breaking 50, 60, 70 yard runs for touchdowns. This year, he's been consistent 7-20 yard runs. He hasn't done that yet. That's why I think it feels different.

It does seem like Chubb has been a little less imposing this year. He is just as (or more) productive as far as yards but has not really had any highlight real runs this year that we were so used to seeing from last year. Maybe its the ankle, maybe its just a lack of opportunity for runs like that. Either way its a good day to be a dawg!

I literally turned to my buddy towards the end of the 3rd quarter and asked him if he thought Chubb had gotten 100 yet..I thought he finished with like 110 and then saw the 159 and was blown away

I posted this on another thread. NC has hit the 2000 yd mark for his career. A 2000 yd regular season rusher would be mind blowing, but possible. Given his average rushing yards per game as a starter in 11 games is 163 yds/g. He has 468 yds so far and there are nine (9) games left. That comes to 1,935 yds total. It wouldn't be easy. He'd have to rush for 163 yds or better in the remaining games.

The guys on CFB Daily were just bragging on LF that hes already had 7 100yard games in his career at LSU.

Yeah the LSU guys responded with the fact that LF only had 15 or less carries in 8 games, so I showed all the carries and NC's 7 games with 13 or less carries.

LF is a beast but he had one amazing game against a bad team and now he's the 2nd coming of HW (or BJ, depending on who you talk to).

Meanwhile, Chubb is quietly and consistently racking up the stats. Let them crow. They will eventually eat it.

I hope Chubb goes over 200 against Bama (I know its not likely)...because I know the argument is already in place that LF had to go against all those tough SECw defenses and Chubb got fat off the East. So, if Chubb goes double deuce hunnerd against Bama and Auburn, that should quiet that particular argument.

That being said, I don't know if he gets the carries to get to 2000 this year, and as long as we are winning, we shouldn't care. Lets spread the wealth.
