If I go to watch the game at a friend's house on DirecTV and there is heavy rain will the reception be adversely affected?

Yes. You should hold an umbrella over the dish so everyone else can enjoy the game.

I use DISH. The weather causes problems maybe 4 times a year or less. Thick dark clouds with no breaks usually. I am hopeful that our weather will be mild enough to cause no concerns over here near Atlanta.

Go to a bar or be ready to watch it on the radio

I have DirecTV and my signal goes out all the time due to rain. It's only affected if the rain is South of you.

Assuming your friend has HD (who doesn't?), if the signal goes out, flip over to standard def. It requires fewer satellites and will probably work. You might burn your eyes out, but it's better than nothing.

Damn... I miss Larry Munson. You could literally watch a game on the radio listening to his broadcast...

I have DirecTv and the only time I lose signal is really bad, cloudy thunderstorms. Rain, no issues.

If I gets too bad. Take your CBS app and throw it to an apple TV

damn right

and I KNOW you will identify with this

don't have tix? game on TV?

turn the volume KNOB all the way down and turn the radio ON to WSB AM 750

sure, sometimes you were 5 or 10 second ahead of or behind (mostly ahead of) what you could see, but it was absolutely worth it...

What the frick, is the game not going to be on CBS? What's all this DirecTV talk?

Can I still watch it on CBS online?

The game is on CBS but I'm not sure about CBS online. It's confusing because the CBS site says that the pregame show is being streamed but it doesn't mention the game. As a last resort, Google streamhunter.eu.

Amen. If I had the option of watching every game on the best TV and location or watching it live vs listening to Munson on an AM radio, I pick Munson.
