When Godwin returned that onsides kick for a TD this past Sunday, I was reminded of the 2003 Georgia-South Carolina game when the same thing happened. It appeared after the game that Lou Holtz was chewing Richt out as if he was running up the score. (I am curious what was really said.)

So I was looking for that game on youtube, but couldn't find it. Instead, I found the Georgia-Clemson game. I remember that I thought Georgia was going to lose this game because they had about 6 of their best players suspended, and I was afraid they were going to have a down year because the previous one was the best they'd had since 1980.

But they beat Clemson 30-0 and I was so excited I went out and bought a 6 pack.

Remember the times when Clemson was Georgia's bitch?

I bet...if the game was played at night...and Eason got hot, that Georgia would still beat Clemson this year, event though the Dawgs are mediocre and Clemson is ranked in the top 5.

But then again I didn't respect Mississippi due to history. I still don't respect Clemson..F.ck them.

Anyway LINK

If you want to see Georgia 30 Clemson 0.

One of my favorite Bulldog memories is that '91 game where Zeier led the Dawgs to an upset night game win over Clemson. Was the same day the '91 worst to first Braves clinched.

Full Game

Remember listening to the Braves on the radio while tailgating before the game. Good times

tied with 02 bama for hottest game I've ever been to. People were passing out convulsing in the aisles, no water by halftime, warm diet cokes was about all they had left. It was brutal.

Was damn sure a fun game though.

I was a student back then. Probably my single greatest day ever in Athens. Haven't thought about that game in years. Thanks for the walk down memory lane!

And young freshman "0 Star" Thomas Davis introduced himself to the world by nearly killing the Clemson QB. Literally.....

He clobbered Whitehurst repeatedly that day. I was at a Braves game in Pittsburgh that day and before the game started, we got food in the stadium. Right as we were paying the bill, Greene hit Gibson for the opening drive TD and it was obvious that Clemson had no chance that day.

Not that it matters but Thomas davis was a sophomore in 03. He played linebacker in 02 and struggled in a reserve role before being moved to safety.

I like my version better. He's probably my all time favorite Dawg not named Herschel.
