Bryan Fischer @BryanDFischer
DC Ellis Johnson is out at Auburn as @FootballScoop said. Muschamp will be in play.

Muschamps wife is from my hometown. Rumor is she wants to go back to AU to be closer to her parents.

That would suck If true. He'd be better served going to a lower tier conference as HC and working his way back into the mix.

Either way not good for us...whether you like Ellis or not his defenses were pretty good against UGA and he has to be an improvement over Ward.

Boom will also build some tough D's at Auburn and would be a good hire for them.

Johnson back at USCe and Muschamp at Auburn would suck. We put up plenty of points on Muschamp when he was DC at Auburn and LSU but I think it'd be different this time around. And Johnson hurt us a lot when he was at USCe.

Nothing to fear...we have CMR and Bobo is the greatest OC in college football. That's what I keep being told anyway....

This is what I like about Auburn. If something doesn't work..they are not afraid to make changes.

I still get nightmares about all those years of Willy Martinez...

Don't feel like getting into the CMR debate but I don't think we'd go out and get a coordinator that would do much more for us than Bobo has. Look through the numbers we put up with the injuries to RBs and WRs and suspension of Gurley and the OL problems we've had for years. He has the occasional boneheaded call (which is not unique to him) and admittedly it came at an awful time vs USCe this year. Would be interesting to see how many of his 'awful calls' were actually run/pass options or plays changed at the line that he chose not to throw his QB under the bus for (like the INT in OT vs Tech this year).

I get that Bobo did a pretty poor job his first several years on the job and never seemed to stick with what was working. But the fact is that he has grown up on the job (whether or not we should hire coordinators to learn on the job with their first coordinator job is a reasonable debate) and is not the reason we end up with the disappointing seasons that we do.

And that doesn't even touch his work in recruiting.

I'm not saying a word other than wondering how a return to USCe for Ellis and WM to Auburn will effect our record moving forward.

God forbid TN and FL make quality hires at the same time....

....but theres no chance of that either because there's nobody worth having out there...

Johnson to USCe may not affect our record much because apparently we can't beat them anyways

But I do think Muschamp to Auburn would hurt us. They'd take more defensive talent from Georgia than they already do and they'd put a very solid defense on the field. They'd give us fits.

I definitely think there's coaches that would be better than Richt. But I also don't trust our AD to get them and provide what they needed to get the job done. That's the main reason I think canning Richt would screw us. Less of a 'there's no one better' and more of a 'we wouldn't get anyone better.'

And honestly, that's more painful for me to admit because it doesn't give me a ton of optimism for UGA bringing home championships.

And you know this how? People say all the time, who else is out there besides Saban, I guess Ala will just win all the N.C from now on since no one is out there, and when Saban retires, hell guess what? no one will win another N.C, cause no damn body else can, theres no one out there
Give me a fricking break
