Dawgs predicted as a playoff team!!

They certainly have the talent at EVERY position. The only reason they are ranked where they are in the preseason polls is because everyone is using the wait and see approach because of the uncertainty of the OL. But I'm excited about this team's potential.

Wait....who wins the first matchup then???
I assume he has Auburn beating us, and Auburn losing to someone else (Clemson maybe?). Can't imagine he thinks Auburn drops a game in the West and still wins the division

Obviously this situation is in the back of every UGA fan's mind. We have a shite ton of talent this year, great senior leadership, and a decently easy path to the SEC Championship Game.
Here is the thing. This has happened multiple times and we have found over and over again that we just couldn't swing it. The closest we have come was in 2012.
Could this be the year? Sure, it could be...will this be the year? I, the perennial pessimist am going to say we lose 2-3 just because that's what we do.
I sure as fricking hope I am wrong.

All of the below would need to occur for this team to become a playoff contender - not sure that it all gets put together this year but you never know.
We would need:
- Defense to go from good to dominant (decent chance this happens because of front 7 depth and talent)
- Offensive line to dramatically improve (could be a great unit by year end - will be work in progress for majority of season)
- Eason to progress significantly (No idea on this one)
- Punting to improve significantly (New punter, this will probably happen)
- Chaney to become a good offensive coordinator (no chance this happens)

You ain't wrong. We've been here many an August and by November we'll be looking at Shreveport or Memphis. It would be great but it has been too many seasons of us having potential and squandering it for me to get excited in August.

If we have playoff level talent at EVERY position then there shouldn't be any uncertainty about the OL. I too am excited about this team's potential but I don't think we have playoff level talent/depth at every position.

We do have playoff level talent at every position, its just inexperienced talent at a few positions
