Yea I think the same. Ramsey has the spot and unless he fricks up over the summer he will be our starter come kickoff vs ULM. I heard Parks dad is a hothead and will not let his son sit on the bench. Reminds me of little league baseball where the parents think more highly of their kid than the coaches do

I'm sure Jacksonville State will be glad to take him and his dad.

The waggle is the greatest play in football.... And with stud running backs and stud TEs and a tall and mobile QB... We shall see why....

I am partial to the waggle shovel myself.

Run a couple of waggles and have playside guard wall off the DE.

Run it a series or two later and let the DE go free. Soon as he thinks he has a bead on QB....shovel underneath to the wingback in full stride.

Won an 8th grade championship at McEachern on that play years ago as time expired right after the snap. My gazelle went 52 yards.

I'm just laughing at the people suggesting that we run Wing-T plays on offense because it worked in the Cobb County Super Saturday Middle School Bowl back in '93.

ETA: The Wing T is what you run when you have a bunch of smart, hard working, but nonathletic kids that need to rely on misdirection to make up for said lack of ability. Or you run the Wing-T because you've stepped back into a time machine and it's 1993. Either way SERIOUSLY.

I know all about the Waggle as I played for a high school in the 90's that ran the Wing-T

It was the fashionable offense back then at that level kind of like flannel shirts and Doc Martins. And really I'm only knocking it in jest.

My favorite play in the entire playbook is this little gem.....the counter criss cross.
COUNTER CRISS VID

Spread 933 or 137 Counter criss cross. Ran those once or twice a game.

I think you missed the waggle joke and took the comments a bit to seriously. Nobody was advocating we change to the Wing T.

If we ran Wing-T, then Ramsey was clearly the choice.

I mean, doesn't put a tickle in my pickle like Golson but I'd take him. Throw another log on the meh Fire we call our QBs

Honestly I think I'd be ok with that. At least he has exoerience and I remember him being a big deal when being recruited. I also will admit that I rather anyone but a QB on our current roster to start

Good, less crow to eat and I can go full tilt on the Lambo hype train

Ya.... The Waggle is far from just a wing T play... It is based on misdirection. You can have a ton of wrinkles, but it is basically the QB rolling away from the flow after faking a hand off. A TE or FB can break off a block and roll back against the flow ... With the QB....The QB has the option to throw the short pass to the TE/FB or hit a WR to the roll side on a post corner, flag, out, curl, curl and go or even a 9 route. There are a ton of wrinkles to it, but it is the cousin of the read option. Auburn runs a lot of waggle type plays very well. Of course, he can also run what essentially is a bootleg.

The beauty of it is if you are pounding them with the dive out of that formation and then you waggle out of it for a nice pass or QB run, you frick with the LBs and backside DE and it keeps them honest.

I love those waggle/rollout plays. I really like the ones that have a backside wheel route (usually the fullback or H-back). I remember the Patriots running plays like that in their playoff game against the Tebow Broncos and they would get their tight ends matched up on Denver defensive ends. One of the most through arse kickings I've ever seen in an NFL playoff game. Denver had no prayer of stopping those plays.
