Maybe not win the SEC but we need 20 wins which means going 7/10 while playing UK twice....

WIth our strength of schedule I don't think we would need to win the SEC tourney but we do need to find a way to get to 20 wins or more. Probably asking too much with UK twice, UF, @SC, @Ark, @bama left on the schedule.

SOS is fine and RPI is fine but our resume is garbage right now. Only way we still make it in without winning the tourney is to pull some upsets over UK and UF and then maybe win 2 or 3 in the SEC tourney

Our strength of schedule is improving on a weekly basis. I think we have to have at least one top 50 win and I think 21 is the magic number in terms. The only way I see us getting in with 20 win is like this with 2 top 50 wins, 19 with 3 top 50 wins.
Our next 4 games are all top 50 games plus Arkansas and Alabam could sneak in before we get there. We also will have probably 1 game, bare minimum, against a top 50 opponent in the SEC tourney unless we get upset in the first round which is possible. The SEC is proving to be stronger this year than previous years.

ESPN RPI only goes back to 2010-11 season. Therefore, this doesn't include Fox's first year, but here's the breakdown vs. the RPI Top 50 since then.
2010-11: 3-9
2011-12: 2-10
2012-13: 0-7
2013-14: 2-7
2014-15: 0-5
2015-16: 0-5
2016-17: 0-4
Total not including 2010-11: 7-47

Interesting. If any year was a let down last year was the year to be let down with two senior guards. Even though it was without Brandon Morris and Juwan Parker. This year expectations have been to high, my expectations are included.

Not it's really not...you just lose those two games. You are bitching an awful lot for a team that is still very young.
Why weren't you hollering for Fox's head after last year. We had Frazier, Charles Mann, and Kennny Gaines.
Our fan base has gone from cold to on fire for getting rid of fox. I don't disagree his seat should be hotter. That's justifiable but nobody complained last year.

cuz nobody gives a shite about hoops in GA
why can't UGA get 8 or 10 solid players on campus at one time?
I'm tired of us getting beat in the 1st or 2nd round of the NIT - no reason we should not be able to field a competitive basketball team

Next year they will have 8-10 good players on campus. We are losing three kids and gaining at least three that are better than those we are graduating and possibly adding one more kid.
First time in Fox's time that will be the case. Heat the seat up...it's justifiable but people should have been more disappointed from last years team than this years team.

Down side of our remaining schedule is I'm afraid we might not win many games. On the flip side of that with UK twice, @SC, Florida, @UT, @Arky plus the SEC tourney we will get several opportunities to play teams who will be in the tourney or in consideration. Not probable but we do get the opportunity to play our way in. Again I don't expect it to happen but win a few of those "signature win" types and get to around 20 W's with our schedule could get us in.

I agree djs...imagine if Philip Pearson was our head coach.
