Could the superbowl have been fixed?

It sure seems like an "amazing" comeback.

I really don't think it is out of the question. Apparently shanahan and the coaches got stuck outside of an elevator and got into with fans.
I understand messing up on one drive when you should have ran the ball but on multiple drives. Questionable.

Sure. Roger Goodell was wearing a Patriots shirt under his suit.
You sound like a Hillary voter.

Not fixed.
But only dumbucks look at this and call it a comeback.
This was a collapse.

good Lord
Can you give us a detailed breakdown of how this would be "fixed"? Don't just say "it was too good to be real", I mean give me actual details on who is involved, how they would have pulled this off, etc.
It's a friggin football game, no it wasn't fixed.

No. It was a massive choke job pure and simple. I just thank God it was the Falcons and not the dawgs. Silver lining.

How could it have been fixed? Did the Falcons take a dive in the 2nd half?

Not a Falcons fan, but when they got called for holding and moved out of FG position at the end of the game, I told everyone watching the Falcons would lose. Sure, it was holding, but there was a lot of holding that game including on the OT TD.

That was one of the most blatant holds all game.
They also called a hold on Martellus Bennett that prevented the Pats from scoring a TD late in the 3rd quarter. To argue this was fixed (and be serious about it) is so dumb.

No. We stopped giving the ball to Freeman. He was having a hell of a game.

I'm not callin for the guys head...there is a huge difference between college and Pro. But I really don't expect someone like you to understand that. You are incapable of understanding much.

this coming from a guy who thinks it's even remotely possible that the super bowl result was rigged.
That's rich

Even Ryan knew this. According to Brian Finneran who was near the bench, Matt told Matt LaFluer "Run the fricking ball". The coaching staff had an opportunity to put the game away with a FG and blew it.
Pats ran 93 plays vs 46 for the Falcons. Defense was gassed after that.

A Defense that ran outta gas along with piss poor coaching decisions and bad clock management doomed the team. 93 O plays for Pats,46 for ATL. 40+ min TOP for NE. Falcons D played their guts out but Shannahan's play calling and Quinn's clock management doomed them...
Seen it so many times during the Richt era, I/we should be immune to these kind of let downs...

Even worse than Greg Normans '96 Masters collapse.

It's crazy how eerily similar the NCG and the Super were. Bama and the Falcons had big leads. Blew them after the defenses got gassed. Both defenses were on the field 90+ plays.

When the Falcons called TO with almost 13 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter I thought that would come back to hurt them late in the game. A TO after the Jones catch would have given them time to discuss the play calling. AND rest the D for 2 more minutes. But they only had one TO left and then lost it on a failed challenge.
But when Quinn threw the Challenge flag in the first half to challenge the receiver stepping out of bounds on that sideline run, I knew that would hurt them later. He was right, but only moved the ball back about 8 yards.
They could have used that challenge late in the game.

That was absolutely the correct play by Quinn, and when could they have used it later in the game?
The coaching staff made a couple errors but that was not one of them.
