Lose to UF and the Barn this year and he will forever be 2nd tier. The weight of his failures will forever cement his place and UGA with him as HC as an 8 win type program.

It is a well documentedd fact that he does not possess the ability to coach a team to the next level.

Top tier recruits will be more and more difficult to land. They will stay away.

The spiral down will continue with no chance to reverse the trend.

what tier will he be if he just loses to one? or if he beats both but loses to tech? or beats all three and loses to GsU?

2nd tier compared to what?

except for the whole math thing making that untrue, but ok.

Read an interesting article entitled, "15 Reasons not to Fire Mark RIcht". There were some interesting points but the most important one was that Richt's replacement may be no better than CMR. I think we can all agree that CMR is good coach but not a great coach.

We may lose some top tier recruits but we will still get plenty. With so many teams competing for top tier talent, these kids are smart enough to realize that if a team is too stacked at RB that they wll have to wait year(s) to play so they will come to UGA. Even if UGA is not their first choice. Lots of our players go to the NFL so if the NFL is the goal of an incoming player, he will get his chance if he plays at UGA. Winning or even competing for a NC... not so much

Not really, Richt's had bad years before and has been able to recruit decently well...on paper anyway...

You don't know how recruiting works.

Yep, two games often determine a coaches legacy.

Why don't you splain it to me. Based on your 22K posts here representing many hours of analysis I'll assume you have a Phd in that area.

Go!

not in his mind..I believe he feels like he's doing exactly what he is supposed to do: mold and develop young men into mature, responsible husbands and wives.

The deadline for melting has come and gone. All applications should have been postmarked no later than Oct. 16th. You are welcome to apply again next year.

ONWARD.

It is very likely we will struggle in every game we have remaining including GaSouthern.

It's pretty simple. The vast majority of recruits will rank schools based on a few things in this order:

1) Will this school get me to the NFL
2) Everything else

If a 10-3 season was as bad as it's gotten for you then you haven't watched UGA football long in your life.

yeah....good point

I guess I was talking in terms of losing to rivals.

I've seen plenty of dumpsterfire seasons, and this one is shaping up to be a doozy.
